Ch. 102

(A/N: I know Ive made a lot of characters that were loosely based on celebrities I stan, and I've made a few characters based off of the guys of the boyband In Real Life, such as Dr. Perez, but in this story the boyband still exists since those characters aren't EXACTLY the member of the band, so they'll be featured in this chapter just so you know and I'm withholding the pregnancy chapter for now bc I was really excited about this subplot and wanted to add it in as soon as I possibly could, so enjoy, I hope y'all like it as much as I do)

Time Skip 2 weeks

Cathy's POV

Ever since I had known my oldest son, Gaten, he was not a very "boyish" kid. He wasn't into the stereotypical "boy things" like the color blue, and trucks, monsters, getting dirty and being a boy. None of those things ever fit into his personality and the kind of boy he was. So it didn't shock me that he was very into a boyband called In Real Life or IRL. His favorite member was Sergio, he considered himself a "Lifeline" which was what IRL called their fans, his favorite song was Eyes Closed, and he had multiple pieces of their merch that he wore quite frequently, he had all their songs downloaded onto all of his devices, and it was his dream to go to one of their concerts and meet and hug all of them, but especially Sergio. It was his 12th birthday coming up in a month, and he was such a good kid, he had been through so much, and he loved them so much, to me he deserved to attend their concert and meet them. Since my family had moved from Florida to LA when I was quite young, we had lived there since, so Alex and I went online one night when Gate was sleeping, and found their headlining tour, the  Tonight Belongs To You Tour, found the LA show date, September 27th, and purchased 3 tickets and 3 VIP tickets so Alex, Gaten, and Gaten's best friend Donna, who also "stanned" IRL could all attend. Donna's 12th birthday was coming up a month after Gate's, so I figured it could be like a present for both of them. I decided to surprise them in the morning, since Donna was coming over again.

Time Skip to the next morning

Cathy's POV

I had printed out the tickets, both general admission and VIP. I wrapped them up in a roll with a bow tying them together, almost like a diploma would have been wrapped. I wrote 'Donna' in small black permanent ink on one, and 'Gaten' on the other, leaving one blank for whatever parent ended up being free that day. I called Gaten down and hid them, and a few minutes later, Donna arrived at our house. Once they were both downstairs, I sat them down, and Alex got the papers. "So, basically, we got you guys a present for being such good kids, and I know you both love these guys so so much. Enjoy!" I said and I handed Gaten his, and Alex handed Donna hers. They unwrapped it, and this big smile came onto their face. "OH MY GOD IM SO HAPPY IS THIS EVEN REAL?! I CANT WAIT TO HUG SERG OMG IM GONNA CRY THANK YOU MOMMY AND MAMA I LOVE YOU BOTH!!" Gaten screamed as he jumped up. I smiled and kissed his head. Alex did the same and pulled me back into her arms when she was done and the kids went to go talk about In Real Life. I just love making my boy happy!

(A/N: this was basically to promote IRL's new headlining tour lmao but dramas also coming with this story line....
