Lauren's POV

It had been a week since the last doctors appointment, and we were headed to the next one. Once we got there, it was only a few moments before we went into the examination room and the doctor entered a few moments after that. "Hi, I'm Dr. Perez." He said.

Dr. Perez grabbed his portfolio which held the results to Tyler's tests. He explained that with the X Ray (we got those as well as blood tests) and the blood tests they were able to do some further studying and confirm that Tyler's stomach, as a result of his prematurity, had as much smaller stomach than the average child his age should have. He explained that because of this, Tyler's stomach had a smaller capacity and could not hold much food before he simply throws up and his body rejects it. He further elaborated that this could never fully go away, but it could be controlled by certain treatments, such as medication and biweekly dialysis, and by eating the right foods he could lead a somewhat normal life.
