Cathy's POV
The past month had been hell. Ever since Dr. Conor said that Nugget was dying, I was crying myself to sleep every night, I was constantly watching him to make sure he was still okay, and I was afraid every time he went to sleep that he wouldn't wake up. A few nights later, I no longer had to worry, unfortunately.
Time Skip to a few nights later
Cathy's POV
That night, Alex and I woke up to see that Nugget had passed away peacefully in his sleep. I held his small, lifeless body in my arms and cried. I cried. And cried. And cried some more.
Time Skip one week
Cathy's POV
We held a funeral for Nugget in our backyard. Our baby boy will live on forever, not physically, but in our hearts.
