Lauren's POV

Initially, I was just shocked more than anything. After the shock wore off, I wasn't mad. Obviously, I fully 100% believe in LGBTQ+ rights so I'd fully support her and I was proud of her for being brave enough to acknowledge her feelings. I went up to her and smiled. "Hi nugget, hi Alex!" I said casually and cheerily, trying to come off as if I hadn't seen it. She and Alex immediately jumped apart at the sound of my voice and I could see in her eyes that she was nervous. I smiled at her. "Wanna go home now nugget?" I asked. She nodded and smiled a small, shy smile. We all piled into the car and drove on home.

Time Skip 2 weeks

Lauren's POV

Throughout the next two weeks, Alex would come over and Cathy would
Go over there, and they'd go to Cathy's room (or Alex's if they were at her house) bur they'd leave the door open and just play a couple video games and sneak a few innocent kisses here and there. I pretended not to notice, because I didn't want to risk upsetting her or Alex. I hadn't told Ty, or Dana, or Ryan, or Tyler, or Maddie, or DJ, or anyone for that matter. I decided to keep it to myself. I didn't want to make a stir. I was driving the kids to school one morning when Cathy told me something. "Mama, after school can we please talk it's important." I smiled to myself and nodded. "Sure, nugget, you can tell me anything." I said. Before she got out of the car she leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. "Thanks mama, I love you." She said. I smiled. "I love you too, nugget." I said.

Time Skip 1 hour

Cathy's POV

I ran inside my school and immediately went to my locker that Alex and I shared, since we had the option to share lockers or have our own individual ones. "Alex, Alex, ALEXA!!" I yelled to get her attention. She quickly looked up, wide eyed and concerned. I was breathing heavy and began to cry. "It's, it's, it's my mom. I-I- I think she knows a-about us." I said through my tears. Alex quickly dropped her books and hugged me, kissing my cheek. Itll be okay, your folks aren't bad people they'll be fine with it. Did you even tell them you're gay?" She asked. I gasped and quickly shook my head. "'No, of course not. And they're not gonna know." I said and I walked away. Alex laughed and shook her head. "So stubborn," She said.
