Ch. 77

Cathy's POV

I immediately brought Alex into the house and held her bag. It was raining outside so she was soaked. I immediately got her a nice warm blanket that had just been in the dryer and wrapped it around her as I kissed her on the forehead. I held her close to me as she shivered and sobbed. Dana walked in and I explained what happened. She ran to tell our parents and they agreed to let Alex stay the night in the guest room, which had a really comfy warm bed. I let her go upstairs, take a nice hot shower and change while I made her hot tea with a bit of fresh lemon in it. She came downstairs around 20 minutes later, still looking beautiful even though she had dark circles under her eyes from crying. I went up to her and pushed her thick black hair out of her eyes. "You're so cute," I said. She smiled and whispered, "t'anks nuggett!!" In a cute little baby voice. She and I sat on the couch and as she sipped on her tea, I asked her to explain what happened if she could. She explained that she told her parents and they were angry, and said that they didn't want an 'F-word' (A/N: it's not fuck, it's a homophobic slur I'm sure you can imagine what it is, I don't want to offend anyone and it's a disgusting word so I'm not using it) for a daughter. She said that she said she loved them and just wanted to be accepted. They said that they have no child as of 20 minutes from now when she was done packing and out. She packed what she could and came straight here. I was nearly crying by the end of that because it was a terrible story. Once she was done telling it, everyone had went to bed. I smiled at Alex and we spent most of that Friday night cuddling and kissing and watching How I Met Your Mother on Hulu.
