SummerSlam| Four Months Later
"You okay baby?" Alec asked as he sat backstage with Payton, who was holding Dustin. Within the last four months, Aria and Alexander have found out their second baby was a boy. Everyone else was working and raising their babies. But, two months post Mania, Hunter and Stephanie had asked Payton to do a WWE 24 episode on her journey and the rise to the top. She'd be talking about everything from having Sasha and Dean as her parents, to what happened with Dustin, her and Alec's relationship, and more about how she is outside of the ring. She felt super excited for it, but before SummerSlam would be her first day for filming it, so now she felt nervous.
"Oh, yeah, sorry." She said, focusing back to her fiancé.
"Baby are you sure you're ok? You zoned out for like ten minutes." He softly said, holding onto her hand.
"Yeah, I'm just nervous to start filming." She admitted, setting Dustin down since he wanted to sit with Alec.
"Are you going to be ok? Like with talking about everything and having it out there?" He asked, feeling concerned for his fiancée.
"Yeah, I'm still excited and everything. But I'll be ok. I gotta head over to where I'm filming. I'll see you both when I'm finished." She smiled, giving her son a kiss on the cheek before kissing her fiancé. Payton then made her way to the room where she'd be filming in before getting ready and having everything set up. Then, they began filming.
"So, Payton, if you could describe your journey to becoming the champ, starting from when you realized you wanted to be a wrestler, what would two words be that you'd describe your journey as?" One of the producers asked since Payton told them that she wasn't sure where to start.
"Challenging yet rewarding. I've ridden the struggle bus when I began my career and when trying to get here, but I wouldn't change it for the world." She smiled.
"How old were you when you realized you wanted to be a wrestler and can you describe that moment for us?"
"I've always wanted to be a wrestler, as far back as I can remember, probably since I was about three years old. I remember watching my dad get inducted into the Hall Of Fame and I was just so mesmerized by it. I've always loved watching wrestling and it's always been in my blood. It probably became serious when I was about six years old because that's when Jack and I started on a wrestling team, and that's when it really became serious. My parents, aunts, uncles, and Jack were my biggest inspirations. I didn't care how, I just knew I wanted to wrestle." She explained with a bright smile.
"So, we know you were also a boxer, what was your meaning to get involved with that?"
"Honestly, after watching one UFC pay-per-view with my oldest brother Colton. I thought it was so cool, and I definitely had, and still have a hot head so I wanted to just do it. It definitely helped me with wrestling since I have a quick defense, and you can tell in my moves that I use my boxing skills. I'm still so amazed at how fast I've had success within NXT and WWE. I thought maybe right now, sitting at twenty two years old that I'd just be getting into NXT. I expected to wrestle on the indies for a while, but sometimes it just doesn't work out like that. I'm very lucky and fortunate to be where I am at such a young age, and I only wanna go further." She brightly smiled as they finished up filming the first segment for the episode, then getting ready for her match later that night.
