Within the lecture hall, there were hundreds upon hundreds of kids just like me, just waiting for what was to come. I took a seat in the middle of the huge auditorium-like room, and made myself at home. 'I'm actually a bit thirsty,' I thought, so I went to grab my water bottle, which I had brought in my bag.

I took a sip, and sighed with relief, the iciness of the liquid quenching my desert-like throat. However, my peaceful enjoyment of the water was suddenly interrupted by a boy. He stood to the left of me, and didn't walk past me, as if he was waiting for me to move out of his way. 'But I was here first! ' Oh well, better move...

"Here, I'll move, sorry," I apologised as I gathered my things to stand up and let him pass, even though he had enough room.

"Yeah, you better be sorry, you damn extra." His voice was so aggressive that it caused me to turn in shock to face him as he passed by.

He was taller than me by at least half a head, and the ash blond spikes that sat atop his head brought an even greater height to his intimidating personality. I also noticed his eyes, and how unusually red they were. Not a bright, fire-engine red, but a ruby red. A red that sparkled under the hall lights, and I suddenly thought of how quite beautiful they were.

"What are you staring at, huh?" His aggressive voice brought me out fo my stunned stupor. It really was quite unnecessary how aggressive he was to you, considering you had done him a favour.

"Um, I'm sorry, but I was just a little taken aback," I replied with a calm voice, not allowing him to intimidate me. "A little 'Thank you' would have sufficed." The boy turned around to face me, annoyance scrunching his face up even more so than before.

"What did ya say, you brat?" I could practically see the venom dripping off of his sneering lips.

"You heard me, and don't call me a brat. If anyone is acting like a brat, it's you!" I was now getting fed up with this guy's behaviour. It was absolutely disgusting.

'Who does this guy think he is? '

"Everyone please make your way to your seats. The introduction will start soon."

I gave the angry boy one last annoyed grimace before turning away and sitting in my seat once more. 'Whatever, I can't let him get to me,' I thought, taking a deep breath to calm my nerves. 'I've been waiting for this day since forever, and I'm not gonna let some asshole of a kid ruin it for me.'

After the incident, the pro hero Present Mic introduced us to what our exam would be about. We would be fighting four different types of robots, but only three of them equaled points when we defeated them. The fourth was going to be a diversion, so I needed to stay clear of those ones.

After quickly separating every participant into two large groups to take the entrance exam, we all made our way towards some change rooms to prepare ourselves for the exam. Every minute that went by, I could feel adrenaline pumping through me faster and fiercer. Still not sure if it was nerves or the energy overload I had from this morning.

Before I could dwell on my thoughts further, a familiar voice sounded right in front of me. I looked up from my seat on one of the benches, and saw Uraraka.

"Hey," I greeted her cheerily, standing up to properly talk. "Looks like we're gonna be in the same group. What do ya know?"

She smiled and nodded her head enthusiastically in response. "I know right, how coincidental is that? I'm just glad that I could see a familiar face before heading into the exam. I'm beyond nervous."
