I sniffed, a foul smell invading my nostrils. It hadn't been like this a moment ago, so what changed? Gazing around, I saw Shoto scrunch his nose at the odd smell; now that I thought about it, it smelt smoky, heavy...

"Hey, do you smell that?" I asked, eyes scanning the darknesms around me. They widened when I saw a purple haze cloud my vision, and the potent smell became more prominent. "What the heck-"

I gasped a the feeling of Shoto plastering his hand over my mouth.

"Don't breathe in the air," he said, it coming out muffled from beneath his own hand. "Something isn't right."

We stopped walking, looking around the area as our path became harder to see. The fog was thick, my eyes not being able to penetrate through to see the path ahead of us. That had my heart rate rising.

"What's going on, Shoto?" I asked.

"I don't know, but we need to keep moving. We should find the others, and check if they're okay."

"Everybody!"

Both Shoto and I flinched at the new voice, freezing up for a moment. However, the voice sounded familiar...

"Mandalay?" I muttered, glancing at Shoto to see this reaction.

He looked just as confused, but remained silent as Mandalay spoke again.

"We're under attack by the League of Villains. Please return to camp immediately, and avoid engaging with any villains. Ragdoll will look after you all there, but please make your way there as soon as possible. Now! "

Then my mind went quiet, a huge void left behind from Mandalay's desperate plea. 'Under attack? Return to camp? ' What was happening back in the clearing? It made Shoto's and I's mysterious situation more understandable, but it had my anxiety building up again.

"The League..." I breathed out. "What are they doing here? I thought no one could find us here."

"Apparently not," Shoto muttered, his grip on my mouth tightening. "We can't think about those things right now. Let's just listen to Mandalay and get to camp. Mr. Aizawa will be there with the remedial class, remember?"

I nodded, taking a step forward with Shoto whilst still gripping onto him. I didn't want to lose him in the fog. We walked for a few minutes in silence, our anxiety quelling our voices as our eyes scanned our surroundings over and over again. The fog hadn't just appeared; someone obviously had started it, meaning that they were out here right now.

'I've got to keep my guard up.' I jumped when I heard leaves rustle beside me, my fist lighting up to punch whoever was there. Shoto flinched underneath me, as well, his body temperature dropping and rising simultaneously. However, just as I was about to throw a punch, a familiar ash-blond boy stepped out of the shadows, another figure lying upon his back.

"Hold up there, lightbulb," Bakugou grunted, a cough escaping him as he pressed his face into his shirt. "It's just me."

"Bakugou," I breathed a sigh of relief. "What are you doing here?"

"Never mind that. I just found one of those Class B losers unconscious in the woods, so I've just been carrying him trying to find a way out. You two are the first pair I've seen since coming in."

"You should be covering your mouth, idiot," Shoto said.

"Don't tell me what to do, Icy-hot!" Bakugou barked back, baring his teeth for a moment before pressing back into his shirt.

He looked uncomfortable, and tired, as well. That's when an idea came to my head, one that I hoped would help, if only temporarily.

"Here," I said, stepping in between the two boys. "Bakugou, give Shoto the boy, and come here."
