After arriving back at the dorms, Midoriya and Bakugou had gotten a railing from Mr. Aizawa, restraining them tightly in his scarf. Although all three of us had broken curfew and a series of school rules, Mr. Aizawa didn't punish us too severely. In fact, I wasn't punished at all - he did give me a stern talking to about not going to get help quicker, but that was about it.

The boys on the other hand weren't so lucky, being put under house arrest - Bakugou for four days, and Midoriya for three. In that time, they were to clean the entire dormitory from top to bottom, and were expected to write a letter of apology to Principal Nezu, All Might and himself. All in all, though, the punishment could've been a whole lot worse.

"Listen up, everyone!" Iida cried, waving his arms as if he were directing a plane to land. "Stay in line, and move promptly into position. I want to see order!"

Today was the first day back at school after summer break, and I was already wishing I was on house arrest with Bakugou and Midoriya. Did Iida really have to be this loud and energetic of a morning?

"Uh, you're the only one who's not in line," Sero pointed out, causing Iida to cringe.

"The dilemma of a Class Rep..."

"I heard a little rumour about Class 1-A..."

I halted at the new voice, looking further down the corridor to see none other than the incessant pain-in-the-ass that was Monoma from Class 1-B. My eyes narrowed in on him leaning against the wall, his inflated ego so large it was nauseating just being in close proximity to him. Based on his tone, I could tell he was about to give us a mouthful, himself.

"TWO PEOPLE!" he cried out. "You had two people fail the Licensing Exam, you losers!"

"M-Monoma from Class B," Sero stuttered, eyeing the boy warily.

Kaminari's eye twitched. "Jeez, he's just as unhinged as usual."

"Bet you were the only one in your class to fail, though. Just like in the final, huh?" Kirishima said, stepping forward with a confident smile on his face. The blond in question just laughed hysterically before turning his back on us, prompting Kirishima to say, "That wasn't an answer!"

A sinister aura exuded from Monoma, something that didn't sit right with me as he turned back around, gesturing to his fellow classmates in an overly-dramatic and completely unnecessary way.

"Actually... every one of us passed! We've pulled ahead of you, big shots."

I stared at them all, bug-eyed and mouth agape at the news. Damn, all of them passed, including Monoma? Remembering the events of the Sports Festival and what time we had with them at the training camp, I knew there were some tough cookies in Class B; but I honestly was surprised that they all passed. It seemed as though a lot of my other classmates thought so, too.

Turning around, I found Shoto hunching in on himself, turning his back to us as a shameful and sad energy surrounded him.

"I'm sorry," he muttered. "It's my fault."

I sweat dropped at that. Dude. Seriously?

By the solemn look on his scarred face, I could tell that he was dead serious. The last time he'd looked like that was back at the Hosu City General Hospital, where he'd had his 'hand-crusher' moment. Poor boy took too many things way too close to heart.

"They're the ones who are turning it into a competition," Kirishima assured the icy-hot boy, a nervous sweat dripping form his brow. "It's no big deal."

"Yeah, Shoto," I murmured, rubbing his back. "It's no big deal. Don't listen to that whack-job, remember?"

"According to teacher Vlad," a short, blonde girl with Maleficent-styled horns said, "we'll be having more class with each other this semester, doesn't that sound like it'll be fun?! I'm looking forward to it!"
