"Knit your brows together anymore, and they'll just become one big monobrow, you know?"

We'd been walking away from our victory for only a few minutes; and in those short minutes, Shoto had taken it upon himself to look at his hands for the most part.

Shoto sighed, obviously not finding my comment amusing. My smile dropped as I placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, stopping him.

"Hey," I muttered, searching for his eyes. "What's the matter? Your plan worked. You should be happy."

"If only I could use both sides at the same time," he said, staring back at his hands - as if there was something else meant to be there instead of just skin. "Switching just slows me down. I need to practice more."

A soft chuckle escaped me at the odd sentence, but it sounded so very like the icy-hot boy. Always thinking of what he could've done better, as usual. He reminded me a little of Midoriya, ironically.

Silence encapsulated us; and never being one for any awkward silences, I broke it. Clasping onto both his arms, I pulled us close together so that our eyes were in line and our breaths were mixing. Thinking about it, If I'd done something like this when we first met: 1. I would've been frozen on the spot, and; 2. I would've been a blushing, blubbering mess.

However, we were here now, and our whole relationship had changed since back then.

"Would you do me the honour making me so happy to call you my girlfriend?"

That's right: girlfriend. Shoto and I were... in a relationship. I wasn't completely used to the labels we now had, but it made me happy knowing he liked me just as much as I liked him. And because we were now together, it was my duty to make sure he wasn't being such a sad sack.

"Listen to me, Shoto," I said. "What you did back there - what we pulled off because of you - was incredible. You thought up a plan and noticed seriously fine details about this area that not even Midoriya would've come up with. We passed this stage, and it was all because of you."

"But you have to admit that I could be faster in my attacks, right?"

I groaned, restraining the urge to slap my forehead at his ridiculousness. "I'll agree and say that you can always improve, but so can all of us! We've done all we can to prepare for this damn test - minus a year's worth of training - so just go with it. Don't worry, we're going to pass; and then we'll be heroes. Together."

I let my hands slip from his upper arms down to intertwine with his fingers, bringing them up between our chests. At his saucer-wide eyes, I couldn't help but let out a giggle that bubbled in my throat. Most days he was a neutral, stone pillar that was void of emotions; but sometimes he was just too damn adorable.

Shoto stared for a moment before his own soft chuckle escaped him, his breath fanning across my S/C skin. It held the faintest scent of mint in it.

"Thanks, Y/N," he finally said, nodding in gratitude. "That... means a lot coming from you."

Rising on my tippy toes, I brushed my lips against his scarred cheek in a quick kiss - I decided that it was my favourite place to kiss, now - before settling back onto solid ground.

"You're welcome," I said, flashing a bright smile at the sight of his blush. "Besides, what kind of girlfriend would I be if I wasn't encouraging every once in a while. Although I do prefer annoying you - it's so much more fun."

Amidst my laughing, I felt Shoto's minty breath fan from my nose upwards, and before I could say anything, his soft lips made their home upon my forehead. My heart was pounding faster than Iida could ever run, and my mind was more messed up than a tangled set of headphones that's how crazy Shoto made me feel. The butterflies were fluttering about in my stomach, and there they remained as he pulled away, my forehead feeling hot from where his lips had touched.
