I covered Shoji and the children as the jet slowly lowered itself onto the crumbled balcony we sat upon. The wind its propellers created sent dust and loose debris flying everywhere, forcing me to close my eyes for a second. I opened them when I no longer felt the wind, stunned to see men and women in army camo uniforms racing to us.

"Quickly!" one women cried at the front of the squadron. "Let's get these children to safety. They look seriously injured."

Shoji stirred beneath me, his eyelids cracking open as he let out a low groan. "What's... What's happening?"

"Shoji..." I breathed out, a relieved smile cracking my lips wide. "Please, don't move. Reinforcements have finally come."

"Reinforcements?" The masked boy blinked up at me, as if just realising who was talking to him. "And... You're here, L/N. Does that mean we...?"

I nodded my head, stroking down his matted white hair in a soothing manner. "Yeah, we did, Shoji. We won. Midoriya and Bakugou saved us all. Other reinforcements are looking after them down the mountain."

"And the kids?"

"We're here!" Katsuma cried, relieved tears falling down his freckled cheeks still. "Don't worry. We're not hurt."

"You saved us, Tentacole," Mahoro added, placing a gentle hand on my friend's shoulder. "Thank you so much!"

Shoji breathed out a relieved sigh, his shoulders slumping as he closed his eyes. "Thank goodness," he muttered. His energy levels were low; and I had no doubt the amount of blood lost wasn't helping him. The poor guy was exhausted.

I placed a gentle hand on his forehead and sent a soothing energy burst into him, hoping to ease his pain a little. "Rest easy now, Shoji," I said. "You've earned it."

A small group of soldiers ran over to us, some sort of stretcher being carried between two of them. The first to approach was the lady from before. She had to be the squadron's captain or leader of some sorts. "Hey there, kids," she greeted, crouching down beside me. "You guys okay?"

I consciously reached for my side where the dragon's teeth punctured me before, but all I found was closed up skin. Had that new presence fixed me during the battle without me realising it? All that was left on me were a few scrapes and bruises from the fight. "I'm fine," I finally replied, "but my friend here is heavily injured. He's got severe cuts to his legs and to one of his arms. Can you help him?"

The captain gave Shoji a quick once over before turning back to me with a reassuring grin. "Don't worry, kid. We'll take care of him and your other friends, too."

I followed her gaze as she looked over her shoulder, stunned to see Ojiro and Kyoka being held up between soldiers as they made their way back to the jet. Dried blood ran down the sides of their faces, and cuts littered them like rubbish in a dumpster. But they were still alive; and smiling, for that matter. Despite their battered appearances, I couldn't help but smile with them.

The captain stood up, waving over two of the soldiers. "All right. Let's get this guy a wheel chair and get him to the jet." As her soldiers unfolded what I thought was a stretcher into a foldable wheelchair, she turned back to Katsuma and Mahoro, a serious expression on her face. "You two are going to stay with us."

Katsuma didn't look comfortable with the idea, and Maharo seemed like she was about to retort. Before she could, though, I stepped in. "It's okay, you guys," I said, crouching down to their height again. "These guys will look after you - give you food and fresh clothes. Don't worry. We'll be fine. A few broken bones and bruises won't be taking any of us down, today."

"If you say so," Katsuma said, his lips forming a concerned pout. "But what about Mr. Deku? And Bakugou? Will they be all right? When can we go see them?"
