Chapter 68

The wind howled as All Might and the man pushed against each other, neither one letting up.

"Have you come to kill me a second time, All Might?" the man asked, sending another powerful wind as he held the Number One Hero in place.

"Bakugou, get down!" I cried, grabbing ahold of him. "Grab onto something!"

I didn't wait for a response, gripping onto the ground with all my strength as the wind hit us, sending loose pieces of rubble and metal flying everywhere. My hand held tight to Bakugou, and I felt him hold me, too, both of us holding one another in a monkey grip. The wind created a cyclone, swirling around us, and threatening to rip us apart.

The League members cried out as they were thrown away, making me strengthen my grip on Bakugou even more. I couldn't let go of him. I wouldn't.

When the wind died down, and the dust settled, I dared to look up and see for myself the damaged caused by the two super-humans.

"It took you long enough to find us," the man said, shaking his wrist. "It's only five kilometres from the bar to here, and yet it was at least thirty seconds after the nomu that you arrived. You've become weaker, All Might."

"You're one to talk," All Might scoffed, crouching low to the ground. "It's kind of hard to miss that fancy life-support mask you've got on. Aren't you over-exerting yourself?"

Bakugou's arm tensed under my grip, and I turned his way to see him watching the two's interaction, shock and bewilderment written on his face. "That guy held All Might back with his bare hands..." he said, his breath shaky.

I nodded, switching my focus back to the fight at hand. This man - this All for One - was the boss villain, no doubt about it, now.

All Might stood up, and began bouncing on his heels. "I won't repeat the mistake I made five years ago, you hear me? I will take young Bakugou and L/N back, and I'll make certain you're locked up for the rest of your sad life. Right along with your despicable League of Villains!"

With that, All Might took off, leaping forward to attack fist first.

"Sounds like you've got your work cut out for you," All for One said, raising his arm as it expanded from inside his suit. "This will be hard for us both."

All Might pushed at him, but the man countered with his own fist, sending an air blast at All Might. The force sent All Might flying backwards, creating another whirlwind of dust that blocked my vision. I ducked back down, covering my head to avoid being hit by more loose rubble.

"Hm... Air cannon plus spring like limbs. Kinetic booster times four. Strength enhancer times three..."

'What is he talking about? ' I thought, slowly lifting my head up. 'Wait, don't tell me he-'

"What a delightful combination," he chuckled, the metallic scraping of his voice sending shivers down my spine. "Maybe a few more enhancers next time."

I coughed as the dust settled, my eyes scanning the area to see where All Might had gone. My eyes trailed from where All Might had been, and followed along a smoky path that lead out of the area by a few blocks, destroyed buildings everywhere.

"All Might!" Bakugou cried, but no answer came.

"All Might!" I called, worry building inside me the longer the silence remained. Where was he? Was he okay? He had to be okay. He had to.

"Don't you worry," All for One said. "It'll take more than that to kill him."

I felt a hand on my back, making me turn to see Bakugou holding his other hand out to me. "Let's get up, L/N," he muttered, not waiting for an answer before one arm wrapped around my torso while the other grabbed my hand. In one swift motion, I was on my feet and leaning on Bakugou. Just as well, because my legs had been so numb with fear and lack of blood flow that they were still wobbly.
