The next week marked the start of my journey at UA High. I woke up up Monday morning, scrambled to my wardrobe for my uniform - which, I must say, is a little short in the skirt - and raced downstairs to gobble my breakfast down.

"Whoa," Dad exclaimed, "slow down tiger. You'll get indigestion if you don't actually chew it."

I paused mid bite before following Dad's advice, smiling sheepishly at him.

"Sorry, Dad. I'm just so excited! I get to finally go to UA. This is a dream come true!"

"Well, you earned it, sweetie. You have every right to be excited." Mum stated as she walked into the kitchen, smiling encouragingly at me.

"Thanks, Mum!"

I then looked at the time, a sudden spike of fear jabbing at my heart.

"Oh no," I whispered as I jumped to my feet and raced back upstairs.

'I'm going to be late,' I thought as I hurriedly brushed my teeth and packed my school bag simultaneously. 'And it's only my first day! '

I spat out the toothpaste, washed my mouth out, then raced back downstairs to kiss my parents goodbye.

"Bye, Y/N," they called as I quickly put my outdoor shoes on and started running for the school. I just waved and smiled in response, not having the time to say farewell properly. Although UA was only a ten-minute walk or so, I only had eight or so minutes to actually get there, so I had to kick into my 'Sonic the Hedgehog' gear.

'How could I have let this happen! I've been looking forward to this day forever, and now I might be late for my first day? Damnit, Y/N, get it together! '

My legs pumped me as fast as I could, and soon enough, UA High was in my sight. It didn't take me long to reach the entrance gates, at which point I stopped running and gave myself a chance to breath.

"Oh. My. Gosh!" I stood up straight with my hands behind my back, remembering what Dad taught me.

"If you're ever short of breath, just lean back, and put your hands behind your head. That way, your lungs open up so you can let air in more efficiently."

Once I regained my breath, I made a mental note to thank Dad when I saw him next. Exercise was definitely not one of my strong points. Looking up at the building I had been in just over a week ago, I looked at my watch. 8:28am it read.

"Good," I said, "I made it."

Just as I went to look for my class room, I felt a cold presence pass by me. A shiver ran down my spine as I turned to my left to see what could've have caused the sudden chill. I was met with a shoulder - of a person, I quickly realised - and then looked up to see the head that rested upon the shoulder.

'Wow...'

My E/C eyes locked onto a pair of heterochromatic eyes - one a shining grey, and the other an oceanic blue. My tunnel vision then widened to notice a red raw mark around the blue eye, making it stand out even more. The next thing I saw were strands of white and red hair, evenly split upon the person's head. Altogether, what I saw in front of me was a boy with different coloured eyes, different coloured hair, and a noticeable red mark on his face.

And I honestly thought he looked beautiful.

We both continued to stare at each other for a moment more, not daring to break the sudden connection we'd made with a complete stranger. I just couldn't bring myself to tear away my eyes from him for some unknown reason. 'Those eyes are...' I had no words for his eyes. However, I soon realised that we must've been standing there, weirdly staring at each other, for quite some time. So, I decided to break the silence.
