Every single one of my limbs went numb, hanging heavy as lead from my body as I stared up at the man.

"You..." I whispered, breath shaky. "It's you..."

No - this couldn't be happening. It just couldn't. This guy was from my dreams, just a figment of my imagination. Right? He was standing in front of me now, though; so did that mean it wasn't all just a dream?

The man chuckled, nodding his head in a mock bow. "Yes, indeed it is."

My breath hitched as another wave of cold hit me, this time colder than back at the hideout. I shivered, feeling my arms start to lose feeling in them. They were still numb along with the rest of me. 'I can't even move he's so terrifying.'

The darkness that leaked from him - I saw it. His aura was so powerful that I didn't need to touch him to see what was inside him. It was ink-black and cold, dripping off him from his fingertips and pooling at his feet. But the pool was big, encompassing Bakugou and I as we stood staring in shock, more than likely the reason I was freezing on a summer's night.

"Just who are you?" I asked.

Before he could answer, a commotion sounded behind us, drawing his attention away. Swallowing my fear, I forced my neck to twist around to see the other League members explode from portals of black ink.

"BLAH!" The lizard-man  - Iguchi - spewed out the remains of the disgusting black substance onto the rubble below us, bending on all fours.

"That was so gross," the blond girl - Toga - cried, clutching her mouth and stomach.

"This black stuff reeks!" Twice complained, but did a one-eighty and said, "I love it!"

I saw the other villains gagging as well, but spotted two unconscious at the back. Looking upon Kurogiri and Dabi's unconscious forms and remembering what Gran Torino and Edgeshot had done, I almost felt sorry for them. Forcing my gaze away, my eyes fell onto Shiguraki, who was on his knees seemingly unfazed by the whole ordeal.

"Master..." he said, bowing low as the mysterious man stepped towards him.

"So, you've failed once more, Tomura Shiguraki," he drawled out, sounding like a parent chastising their child. "But you must not be discouraged; you'll try again, that's why I brought your associates back with you."

He paused, turning his head to face Bakugou and I. It took all my strength not to flinch as we faced his faceless mask.

"Even this child, because you judged him as an important piece on your game board, " he continued, pointing at Bakugou. Walking over to Shiguraki, the man held his hand out. "Start over as many times as it takes. I am here to provide you with help. All of this... is for you."

'All of this...? ' I thought, watching on in disbelief as Shiguraki took the man's hand. He looked up at him and - although I couldn't see his face - the strange calm I felt from him told me enough. Shiguraki admired this man - whoever the hell he was - and trusted him deeply.

So, this was the head of the League of villains. The real head.

A faceless man who exuded incredible power just from standing still; a man who was so utterly terrifying he froze people with one look. He was the man who had been behind the USJ Incident, the attacks on Hosu City, and the invasion of our training camp. Whoever he was underneath that mask didn't matter, for he was nothing but a monster.

I was broken out of my reverie as Shiguraki pointed at me over the man's shoulder, one of his red eyes glaring in the darkness.

"Master," he said, "I thought the boy was useful, but this brat wasn't part of the plan. She's nothing but a stray animal that Dabi picked up because he thought it was fun. Why did you bring her, too?"
