The next day was our first full day of normal classes. The first half of the day included the mundane classes of the average high school student, but the afternoon would consist of our hero course activities. I was pumped.
But first: Lunch!
The Grand Mess Hall - as it was officially called - was quite the place to be in. Everyone was always in a hurry to get any food because it was so good. That was because we had the best chef in the hero world: Lunch Rush.
His food was beyond comparison, and nothing sounded better than his delicious food in my belly at that moment. So, I grabbed my food and looked around trying to find anyone from my class I could sit with. I couldn't see anyone amongst all of the other students. Not until I heard a voice cry out, "L/N, we're over here!"
I then spotted my three new friends waving enthusiastically at me: Uraraka, Midoriya, and Iida. Glad to have found someone I knew, I squeezed and scrambled through the crowds of students to reach them, before sitting down and taking a breath of relief.
"Phew," I sighed, "thanks guys. Wouldn't have made it out alive if you hadn't have called out. I owe you guys one."
"Nonsense, L/N," exclaimed Iida, eating some rice out of his rice bowl. "You would've done the same for us. Besides, this'll give us a good chance to really get to know one another."
"Good point, Iida," Midoriya agreed, happily eating his meal, too.
And with that, the millions of questions about our lives began. Since I had talked with Midoriya on the exam day, I pretty much knew most things about the green-haired boy. However, Iida and Uraraka were both equally interesting. I found out Uraraka's quirk was zero-gravity - how cool - and that Iida was the younger brother of the famous Pro Hero Engenium.
"Wow, Engenium's your brother?" I sputtered, almost choking on my food with shock.
"That's right," Iida conformed, a proud smile adorning his face. "As the second Iida son, I hope to live up to the standard my brother has set as a true hero of this world."
'He speaks about his brother so highly,' I thought as I finished my meal. 'He must really look up to him.' As I finished, the bell for our afternoon classes rang, signalling for us to get to class.
The four of us walked to our class room, still talking about one another, and I felt as if I'd known them for years. They were all so open and welcoming that it was hard to believe that this was just the second day of school.
As I took my seat, awaiting our hero teacher to arrive, I saw Todoroki walk in and make his way to his seat, which was right next to mine on the right. I was in between him and this girl named Momo Yaoyorozu, who had also gotten in on recommendation.
"Hey Todoroki," I greeted him happily, "how was your lunch?"
"Hm."
I sweat dropped at his answer. Actually, I wouldn't have even called that an answer. 'Does he not understand the concept of speaking more than one word at a time?' Man, this guy was a problem.
"Um... Todoroki? We might need to work on how you respond to people more." He just shrugged and turned to face the front.
Just as we all settled in, a shout from behind me sounded, almost bursting my ear drums.
"I AM... COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"
Everyone turned around, only to see none other than the Number One Hero behind us, all dressed in costume.
"All Might's gonna be teaching our class today!?" Midoriya fangirled from his desk, his precious eyes lighting up at the thought. He was visibly shaking, and I thought he would possibly go into a seizure.
