As soon as the afternoon bell rang to dismiss class for the day, my classmates and I were already half way out the door.
"Oh man, I can't wait to discuss with the others what we're gonna do for the school festival," I said, practically skipping down the hallways. It had only been a few days since my visit to see Eri, but just the thought of seeing her smile at what we would create had me itching to get started. I bet her smile would be adorable!
Kirishima beside me let out a sigh, stopping in his tracks. "Yeah, sounds great. But unfortunately some of us still have classes to catch up on. Seriously how do you do it, L/N?"
"Wait," Ojiro injected, "you guys are still making up classes from your work studies?"
"Yeah, sorry," Midoriya said, bowing his head.
My tailed classmate just shrugged and smiled at the pair, saying, "Eh, there's no need to apologise. We'll handle the school festival prep while you guys catch up."
"That's right," I said, flashing them a smile. "Don't even sweat! Here. Take my notebook to use as a reference guide. I'll pop around later and see how you guys are doing."
"Aw yeah!" Kirishima exclaimed, suddenly pulling me into a bone crushing hug and squishing my book between us. "You're the best, L/N! This should help us a lot. See ya later, then. Have fun with the festival preps."
Releasing me from his hold, Kirishima took my notebook and walked towards the supplementary classroom with Midoriya down the corridor. I continued to stare after them, my shock quickly melting away into a soft smile. Those two really were such dorks.
"Come on, L/N," Ojiro said, already walking in the opposite direction. "We better catch up to the others. There's a lot we all need to talk about."
I nodded and quickly followed after him. We made idle conversation as we roamed through the many corridors of the campus, soon reaching the ground floor and finding some familiar faces by the entrance. The way Mina was jumping about beside Kyoka, Kaminari, Shoji and Bakugou said enough of her excitement as we joined them.
"We, like, have so many decisions to make about costumes, and choreography," Mina said, flailing her arms about in exaggeration.
"Hey! Watch it, Mina," I said, barely ducking under one of her swinging arms.
The pink-haired girl turned to me. "Oh! Sorry, Y/N. Didn't see ya there!"
I sweat-dropped. Of course she didn't.
"What music do you think the rest of the school will enjoy?" Shoji injected.
"We should do whatever is trendy," Kaminari answered, his golden gaze falling on the music girl, expectantly. "Right, Jiro?"
My purple-haired friend hummed in response, looking down at the path she was walking. She gave no further comment, but just by the contemplative look on her face told me the cogs were turning in her head. It made me smile to see her so focussed. Despite her worries the other night, she seemed to be more confident about it all, now.
Noticing how quiet a certain ash-blond boy had been all conversation, I slowed down my footsteps, regressively falling back into line with him. "You okay, Bakugou?" I received no response. Not even the shrug of a shoulder. "You've just been... unusually silent, lately... Anything you wanna talk about?"
The boy just grunted in response, his scarlet eyes remaining forward as we kept walking. I huffed in annoyance. What stick was up his ass, today? "Well, obviously something is wrong because you're either usually insulting Midoriya or insulting the rest of us and you're doing neither."
