My classmates and I eventually made our way into our assigned dormitory building, and boy was it fancy.
"Each student dormitory holds one class," Mr. Aizawa said. "Girls are on the right, and boys are on the left. The entire first floor is a common area; that's where you'll find your kitchen, baths, and laundry room."
I gazed around with saucer-wide eyes, taking in as much as I could all at once. Although I was standing just inside the entrance, I didn't have to move to see just how luxurious it was. There was a giant living room just to the side of the entrance, and then beyond that an equally big kitchen fit for any professional restaurant. Right in the centre of the building was a lush and green courtyard surrounded by glass doors, and the other side of the building was filled with multiple desks, chairs, and a whole wall just filled with books; that was clearly to be our studying area.
"I'm living in a mansion..." Ochaco muttered beside me, before proceeding to faint right at my feet.
"Ururaka!" Iida called, bending low to check if she was okay, while I continued to stand like a stunned mullet in awe of our new dormitory. Our new home.
Everyone was so excited - jumping about, running wild through the new space - and their energy infected me, too. Even though Mr. Aizawa had just given the class a grilling just before, it wasn't getting them down. 'They- no, we are an amazing class.' The thought alone made me smile.
It made me smile.... until I heard the resident grape-gremlin open his disgusting mouth and speak.
"Doth mine ears deceive me?" Mineta said, drool dripping from his open mouth. "Our baths... are located in the common space? Is this heaven?"
'It's not, but I'd be glad to show you what hell looks like,' I thought. However, before I could actually speak, Mr. Aizawa beat me to it, the dangerous aura he was emitting enough to scare me off.
"They're separated by gender, and you will behave yourself."
Mineta gulped. "Yes sir."
As much as I didn't wish ill upon any of my classmates - most of the time - it did put a satisfied smile on my face at how utterly terrified Mineta looked after Mr. Aizawa's warning. Karma was a bitch, right?
After touring the first floor, we all ventured up onto the first floor where the really important rooms started: our bedrooms.
"Living quarters start on the next floor," my teacher said. "Four boys and four girls on each level. Everyone gets their own room. You should be comfortable; you've got your own AC, toilet, fridges, and closets."
Taking a peek into one, I couldn't help but be once again gobsmacked at the sheer size of the room. I could fit a whole car in there, and still have room to move about in, it was that big. We even had a balcony to go chill on. 'How cool?! '
I whistled low as I entered the room fully, walking over to a couple of my friends in the centre.
"This is... pretty impressive," I said, eyeing every little detail I could spot. It honestly felt surreal, being in a room of this size and design.
"Indeed," Momo said. "It is about the same size as my closet at home, but I'll manage..."
I twitched at that. "Your... whole closet?!"
"This is the size of my house!"
A loud thud came from behind me, causing me tp turn and see a dazed Ochaco lying limply on the wooden floors.
"Uraraka!" Iida called again.
I bent low to help her up again; the poor girl was clearly overwhelmed by it all.
