"Well, I better go find Aoyama," Ochaco sighed, turning to head out. "We're up next and we don't even have a plan. Oh man..."

"It's okay, Ochaco," I reassured her, patting her shoulder. "I'm sure you'll be fine. Just remember your fighting spirit, and everything else you learned from Gunhead. You'll be fine. Trust me."

Honey-brown eyes shimmered up at me as Ochaco smiled. "Thanks, Y/N. That means a lot."

"No sweat." Laughing, I gave her a slight nudge on the shoulder. "Now goooo. Or you'll fail by default."

"Right. See you guys later!"

We all wished the short brunette luck as she ran out the door, hearts warm with her infectious enthusiasm. Now it was just Midoriya, Recovery Girl and I left in the room; Iida hadn't come back yet from his test, and Momo and Shoto had only just finished, so I didn't expect them for a long time.

'Thinking about it, though, my match is right after Ochaco's. I should probably go see Mina and Kaminari to try and figure out a plan to go up against the principal.'

I let out a quiet sigh, turning to address Midoriya, who was looking up at the screens. I tapped him on the shoulder before I spoke, so as to not scare the life out of his already skittish persona.

"I'm going to head off, as well," I said. "I'll see you later. Hopefully I see you before you match."

Midoriya nodded, his freckled cheeks squishing slightly as he grinned back at me. "Okay, good luck out there!"

"Good luck, L/N," I heard Recovery girl call out as I went to exit the dark room. "Don't break any bones, or you'll have hell to pay later!"

I shivered at the playful threat.

As soon as I left the room, I started running through the halls towards the preparation area. 'I left Mina and Kaminari there before, so they should still be there, I hope.'

Rounding another corner, a dark, blurred figure stood in front of me, making me pull up before I collided with them. My eyes trailed up the figure, widening as they were met with a familiar, red and white-haired boy staring right back at me.

"Shoto!" I called out in surprise. "You're back already? Congratulations!"

"Thanks," he bowed his head slightly. "It was a tough battle, but Yaoyorozu managed to get us out of there, no problem."

At the mention of my friend, I smiled, recalling her ingenious plan that no one else could've possibly come up with. My pride for her was overwhelming, but Shoto on the other hand...

I whipped my right leg up and slammed it right into Shoto's backside, sending him hurtling into the wall. The impact boomed throughout the empty hallway, and his cry of pain elicited a satisfied smirk from me. High school had really made me such a sadist.

"Damnit, Y/N," Shoto groaned as he pushed himself off the wall of to stare at me angrily. "What the heck was that for?"

"That was for not talking to Momo before you just rushed into that test!" I explained, crossing my arms. "You're very lucky that you got paired up with her, as she had a much more clever plan than anyone ever could've come up with. It's because of her that you managed to scrape a pass."

The anger in the icy-hot boy's eyes died, the fire they once held extinguishing to nothing but cold embers.

"You saw that?" Shoto muttered, lowering his gaze away from mine.

I hummed my confirmation, and he winced.  His fists clenched and unclenched at his sides, and I suddenly felt bad for going off at him. I let my anger drop, too, deciding to go at him from a different approach.
