"ALL MIGHT WINS!"
Everyone around me erupted into raucous cheers, crying and blubbering as All Might stood with his fist raised high. I watched in awe, shocked frozen as my eyes looked onto the Number One Hero through the screen. 'He did it... He won! '
"The villain's not moving," the reporter announced. "He's knocked out. All Might stands victorious; he's saved us yet again!"
Air swirled around him as All Might transformed into his muscular form, stumbling slightly as he adjusted. It astounded me as to how he was still able to keep up appearances even though he'd been beaten to a pulp mere seconds ago. He really was the world's Number One Hero.
I released a breath I hadn't realised I'd been holding in, the shaky breath triggering me to hiccup as sobs wracked my body.
"He did it..." I muttered, wiping away the tears and snot. "All Might won."
Around me, people were raising their own fists, punching the air in victory as they called out the Symbol of Peace's name over and over again; as if it were a prayer that had been answered by some higher power.
"All Might! All Might! All Might!"
He stood tall, not relinquishing his stance for even a moment. And as the sun rose from over the crumbled high rises, he basked in all its glory.
A hand gripped my own. "Come on, Y/N," Shoto said. "We better go find the others before it gets too hectic. You think you can find them? You know, with your quirk?"
I nodded. "Yeah, but we need to get out of this crowded area first. I can't focus with so many people around." Beyond Shoto and Momo's shoulders was a quieter section of the street, but people still hung around it. 'That'll do, I guess.'
"Over there," I said, pointing behind them. "I can try to find them from there."
"Right then," Momo said, turning to leave. "Let's get going, then."
The three of us made a move to leave, but something inside me forced me to stop. It was a tugging sensation, one that pulled my heart the wrong way, like someone was watching me. I knew I should just ignore it and keep following my friends, but still...
I stopped, turning around to look up at the screen where All Might still stood, although he'd returned to his skeletal form. However, he wasn't the only one in the frame, now.
"The heroes began rescue operations during All Might's fight, but the scope of the damage is staggering," a young lady reported, gesturing to the chaos behind her.
As said, other heroes were on site, pulling more people from the wreckages of the fight and clearing space for emergency services to come in. The police had finally arrived, as well, and were directing traffic.
"Authorities are estimating a large number of casualties."
That made me wince, watching transfixed as the camera panned the damaged site. She was right; there were so many injured people just from the fight, who knew how many others had... had...
The reporter turned over her shoulder in search of something. "The villain who caused this is- Oh, there! He's being led into the maiden, right now. Meanwhile, All Might and the other heroes remain on high alert..."
Her voice drowned out, all my focus on the man who'd caused so much pain tonight. All for One had his hands behind his back as he was being led into a giant metal containment unit, head turned form the camera's view. He was conscious, that much was clear, but he was being so compliant.
