"Ally, are you done yet?" asked Draco, leaning his chest against her back as she sat on his bed.

"Draco, I told you I needed to study. You promised me that we would study together if I went to Hogsmeade with you two weeks ago," said Desiree, looking over her shoulder to Draco.

"Ugh, fine. But can we at least get a break soon?" he asked, moving from her back to her side.

"If you learn how to behave then I'll think about it," she laughed as she looked to him. "Now come on, let's read over Charms."

With this they both opened their Charms books, quizzing each other on the correct name for each charm and its purpose. They would share the occasional laugh when one of them shouted a complete off the wall answer. Everything felt easy when they were around each other, as though it was just them in the large world.

"Okay, I think if I read one more word about Charms my head just might implode," said Draco, rubbing his temples with his fingers.

"Someone's sticking to the dramatic side today I see," Desiree laughed, readjusting how she sat on his bed.

"Can we please take a break?" Draco pleaded.

"We don't need a break," said Desiree, a smirk growing on her face.

"Ally, please," he looked to her with begging eyes.

"Draco we don't need a break because we already finished studying," she began to giggle.

"You tricked me," his mouth fell open.

"'Suppose I did," she laughed. Just seconds later she felt Draco's body crashing into hers, pushing her back flat against his bed.

"You think it's funny?" his hands pinned hers above her head.

"Maybe just a little," she giggled again, gazing into his cool grey eyes. Draco's mouth opened as if he was going to say something only he didn't, his lips connected with hers. His kiss was eager, slightly rough, but still enough to drive Desiree mad. His lips trail down across her jaw line to her neck. This time it was no longer the playful kisses he placed on her neck on the train, it was different, a good different. Desiree found herself in ecstasy of his kiss until they heard footsteps approaching his room. They quickly separated just in time for Blaise to walk through the door. How did he always know the perfect time to interrupt them?

"Oh, hi Desiree. I didn't expect to see you down here," said Blaise.

"We we're helping each other study," said Draco.

"Right study," Blaise's eyes narrowed as he looked to the both of them. Their breathing was slightly heavier than usual.

"Did you need something?" asked Draco.

"I came to get my Charms book and to ask if you two were going to come up for dinner," said Blaise, holding his Charms book in the air.

Draco looked over to Desiree for a moment as if to ask her if she wanted to go. She silently nodded before Draco looked back to Blaise. "Yeah we'll be right up."

"Alright, I'll try to save you both seats," said Blaise, closing the door as he walked back out.

"I swear he always finds the best time to barge in on us when we're alone together," Draco laughed, gently kissing Desiree again.

"He really does," she giggled into the kiss. "But we really should go up for dinner. I'm starving," she grinned, slowly pulling away from Draco and getting off his bed.

With this the two slowly made their way up to the Great Hall. There was nothing special they were in a hurry for and they liked being alone together. So they took their time. That was something they had in common; they secretly loved to savor every moment with the people they loved. Desiree really began to hold on to that after Cedric. It only made her realize more that it doesn't matter how old you are, people you love can be taken from you in an instant. She didn't want that to be the case with Draco.

It seemed as though every student at Hogwarts decided to eat dinner at the exact same time when Draco and Desiree walked in. There were barely any open seats at any of the house tables. Luckily, Blaise was able to save Draco and Desiree two seats across from him.

"There you two are," said Blaise as they sat down in front of him. "You wouldn't believe how hard it was to save three seats."

"Three?" asked Desiree. She had a hunch who the seat next to Blaise was for; she just hoped she wasn't right. But of course, she was.

"Blaise there you are," said Pansy. "Oh, I didn't realize we were eating with them."

"Likewise," Desiree mumbled, rolling her eyes in the process.

"We'll only stay until we finish eating. We can go back to my room after that but until then could you play nice?" Draco's lips gently brushed against her ear as he whispered. Desiree felt shivers run down her spine as he whispered. She subtly nodded and cleared her throat before she began eating.

Dinner went on with Desiree and Pansy's usual ignoring of each other. Draco and Blaise talked to each other. Desiree would jump in the conversation occasionally but mainly ate her food in silence so she'd finish faster.

Just a short time after Desiree finished her food, Draco finally finished his. Desiree was quick to stand from the table, not wanting to be around Pansy anymore than she already was. Draco followed eagerly behind her.

"So, what do you want to do now?" asked Desiree, sitting on the edge of Draco's bed.

"Well we could do our favorite thing," he grinned.

"What are you thinking?" she jokingly narrowed her eyes at him as she lifted herself off of the bed.

"I think you already know," a grin tugged at the edge of his lips. His hands wrapped firmly around Desiree's waist, pulling her into a kiss. She let out a soft giggle into their kiss before she felt one of Draco's hands leave her body. He broke their kiss to hold a book in front of her, Wuthering Heights. Desiree had a feeling this is what he meant. Especially since they hadn't been able to finish it the last time she read it to him.

"I knew that's what you wanted," she giggled, snatching the book from Draco's grasp and climbing on his bed. Draco stood silently looking at her for a moment, "Well aren't you coming over here? Draco, what is it?"

A small grin pulled at his lips again as she looked to her, "I love you."

Desiree felt a mixture of warmth and butterflies grow in her stomach as a grin grew on her face as well, "I love you too." There was a paused between the two as they stared at each other, still smiling. "Now, get your ass over here," she laughed.

With this, Draco crawled under his blankets with Desiree, resting his head on her upper stomach as his arms held her body. She gently stroked his hair as she read the rest of Wuthering Heights to him. She had forgotten how much she loved the book but she knew that this, reading with him, only made it that much better. She felt at peace with him, like every problem in the world faded. Her only hope was that this feeling of peace would stay with whatever storm lay brewing ahead.
