About a month had passed since Desiree and Draco fought outside of the common room. Desiree tried talking to Draco a few times; he however, ignored her. She then simply began to ignore him as well. She wished things didn't have to be the way they were but she knew she couldn't be friends with someone that blamed her for things just because she was happy with someone.

"Desiree? Are you there?" asked Hermione, walking through the small village of Hogsmeade.

"What? Oh sorry, I guess I was trapped in thought again." said Desiree.

"Are you alright? You've been doing that a lot lately." said Hermione.

"I'm fine I promise." said Desiree, turning to face Hermione.

"Is there something wrong with you and Cedric? Is that why you came with Ron and I today?" asked Hermione.

"No Cedric and I are fine." Desiree smiled as she thought of him. "Cedric's not feeling well today so I thought I'd come with you two."

"Why didn't you come with your Slytherin friends?" asked Ron.

"Ronald!" Hermione said quickly.

"Hermione it's alright." Desiree laughed. "But if you must know Draco and I had a fight about a month ago and we haven't really talked since."

"About what?" asked Hermione.

"He didn't tell Pansy or I that he had a girlfriend for over a month. So when I confronted him about it he basically blamed me for everything." said Desiree.

"But how would you have anything to do with why he hadn't told you?" asked Hermione.

"He said that because I spend a lot of time with Cedric he felt like he had no time to tell me." said Desiree.

"I mean you do spend a lot of time with Cedric." said Ron.

"Ronald!" Hermione shouted once more. "Don't listen to him. He doesn't know what it's like to have someone to spend time with that you actually like being around that isn't me or Harry."

"Hey!" Ron said offendely.

"You started it." Hermione laughed.

"Well if it makes you feel any better Desiree I think you're better off without him." said Ron, now stopping in front of the Shrieking Shack.

The three friends were enjoying their time until Desiree heard a familiar voice, Draco's voice. "Well, well look who's here. You two shopping for your new dream home?"

Ron and Hermione turned to face Draco before he continued, "A bit grand for you isn't it Weasel B? Don't your family sleep in a one room?"

"Shut your mouth Malfoy?" said Ron.

"Oo not very friendly. Boys I think it's time to teach Weasel B how to respect his superiors." said Draco.

"I hope you don't mean yourself." said Hermione, stepping in front of Ron along with Desiree.

"How dare you talk to me? You filthy little mudblood." snarled Draco.

"Draco go away. Go back to the castle." Desiree snapped.

Draco simply glared at the girl whom he hadn't spoken to in about a month. That was until a snowball was thrown at him.

"Who's there?" asked Draco to the open forest around them. Just then more snowballs launched themselves toward him.

"Is this something you've cooked up? A way to get back at me?" asked Draco to Desiree.

"No of course not. Although it is quite funny." Desiree laughed.

It didn't take too long before Draco and his little possy ran off out of fear. This left Desiree, Ron, and Hermione laughing at the sight of the other three running. Ron quickly stopped when the tassels of his hat began to shake.

"Harry you can come out now." Hermione laughed.

The rest of the time in Hogsmeade was spent in Honeydukes and The Three Broomsticks. Desiree returned to the castle just in time for dinner.

"There you are. I have so much to tell you." said Y/n, sitting down with Pansy. After Desiree told Pansy and Blaise what happened in Hogsmeade they both sat with their mouths half open.

"Wait so you're telling me Crabbe had his pants pulled down and Draco was dragged towards the Shrieking Shack." laughed Blaise.

"Yes." laughed Desiree.

"And they both couldn't see who was doing it?" asked Blaise.

"That was the best part." Desiree laughed.

"That sound brilliant!" laughed Blaise.

After dinner Desiree sat in the common room silently reading one of the books she was given over Christmas holiday. Before she knew it she was the only one left in the common room once again. That was until she saw Draco walk through the door looking as though he had been upset just like he had been the first night Desiree found herself alone in the common room.

"I'll just go." said Desiree as she now stood up and began walking toward the stairs.

"Desiree wait." said Draco.

"What Draco?" asked Desiree, now stopping where she stood and turning to him.

"I'm sorry." whispered Draco.

"What did you say? I couldn't hear you." asked Desiree. She half heard what he said but she wanted to make sure she heard him right.

"I'm sorry." he said more clearly.

Desiree stood not sure what to say. This was what she wanted to hear from him almost all month but now that she had heard it she wasn't sure what to do.

"I'm sorry about what I said. I shouldn't have said it. It wasn't fair to you and you're not the reason I lied." said Draco.

"Then why did you?" asked Desiree. These words seemed to escape her mouth before she even thought of saying them.

"I guess I just...I saw the way you were with Cedric and I knew I wouldn't have that." said Draco.

"What do you mean you wouldn't have that?" asked Desiree.

"Just forget it you wouldn't understand." said Draco.

Desiree wanted to know what he meant but she decided not to push him, especially not tonight when he looked as though he had been upset not too long before.

"I'll talk to you later Draco." said Desiree, walking up the stairs again.

"Yeah I'll see you later." said Draco, sitting on the couch with his face in his palms.
