Desiree awoke in the early hours of the morning, Draco's arms still tightly wrapped around her waist. Though now, he held her back against his chest. His breathing was light and even. Almost as though it was a peaceful lullaby for her.

She looked at the time, drats, it was time to start getting ready to take their exams.

"Draco," she  shook his shoulder.

"Hmm?" he stirred, his arms wrapped tighter around her.

"It's time to get ready," she turned her body to face him.

"Do I have to? I'd much rather stay in here with you all day," he shifted his body again, his eyes still closed.

"Draco, we have to take our O.W.L.s  today," said Desiree, gently sitting up.

"Ugh, I forgot about those," his hands covered his face in dread. "Can we skip them?" he grinned.

"No we can't," Desiree playfully rolled her eyes. "Now come on, get up. I'll meet you in the common room in twenty minutes."

"What if I'm not up there?" he raised his eyebrows, enticing Desiree for a snarky response.

"Then I will personally come down here and drag your ass out of bed," she grinned, slowly walking over to him before giving him a quick peck. "Bye."

"I'll see you in twenty minutes. Or not," he grinned.

Desiree playfully rolled her eyes again, "See you in twenty."

With this Desiree made her way back to her room to get a new set of clean robes and to finish getting ready.  Luckily, Pansy was already gone from their room. This made the process of getting ready faster for Desiree. She quickly threw on a new set of clean robes, pulled her hair into a low braid, and put on a small bit of mascara before making her way back up to the common room.

There, sat Draco on one of the couches. A grin spread across her face as she saw him. She knew he would show up despite his verbal disdain.

"Ah, look who actually showed up," she chuckled.

"I figured it would be better than getting dragged out of my room," a small grin escaped his mouth as he stood.

"Well you decided well," she laughed. "Now come on, we have O.W.L.s to take."

The walk from the common room was ridden with anxiety for Desiree. She knew she studied plenty, yet she couldn't help but feel as though she was unprepared. Draco had obviously taken notice of this, for he looked down to Desiree, gently pulling her chin to look up to him.

"You're going to do great," his grey eyes looked reassuring to her bright green eyes.

"Thanks," she grinned. It made her feel a bit better than she was.

The Great Hall had now been turned into a vast testing room. Lone desks formed perfect rows among the large room. Today's test would go in a specific order, Potions, Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, and lastly Charms, this was one of the main exams Desiree was nervous about. Though she was quite good at Charms, it wasn't her strongest suit.

As soon as everyone sat down Umbridge started the exams. Potions was easy for Desiree, much easier than she expected. This exam was mainly telling the uses and ingredients of certain Potions. Which meant that all the tutoring sessions with Draco over the years came in handy. Herbology was easy with the amount of studying Desiree did for it. Herbology wasn't always Desiree's strong suit. But her knack for Potions helped her be able to remember the purpose for certain plants based on what they did for Potions. Defense Against the Dark Arts was basically the questions from the textbook put onto the exam. No doubt a way the Ministry was going to use to show that "hypothetical" teaching worked better. Transfiguration was just as easy as expected for Desiree. Transfiguration became easier to Desiree with each year. Lastly, it was time for Charms. By now every student had grown restless of exam after exam but it was much better to end with something easy like Charms rather than Potions.

Desiree began to look around the Great Hall to see the other students that had yet to finish. Hermione, who was just to the right of Desiree, looked to be writing in her last answer. Harry, on the other hand looked as though he had barely written anything. Almost like he was zoned out in thought.

A loud booming began to ring out just from the other side of the door. It had caught everyone's attention, including Umbridge. Desiree looked around to Harry, Ron, and Hermione. They all had the same confused expression. Umbridge quickly made her way to the doors of the Great Hall and opened it.

A small spark began to zip in front of Umbridge's face before it quickly flew into the Great Hall. Before any one could comprehend what was going on Fred and George came zooming in on their confiscated brooms. They began throwing fireworks around the room, their own products no doubt.

Umbridge looked as though she was in utter terror at the sight of the fireworks in the Great Hall. Desiree couldn't help but laugh. She gave both of the twins two thumbs up as she looked to them. She then looked to Draco, he himself seemed to be fighting back laughs and grins.

"You can laugh you know. It's quite funny," she shouted to him over he commotion.

"I don't know what you're talking about," his lips pulled into a slight grin only Desiree was able to notice. She laughed to herself before turning her attention back to the twins.

"Ready when you are!" he laughed. George then threw a much larger firework into the air. Desiree knew this had to be the big finale.

Sure enough, a dragon emerged from the large firework and chased after Umbridge, just as Fred said it would. Desiree looked to Harry, Ron, and Hermione before they all burst into an endless laughter. Blaise was even laughing as he stood by Draco's side.

Just as everyone began following the twins outside, the many educational decrees began falling off the wall. Desiree felt free as she ran outside with the rest of the students to see the twins off. It almost felt as though they were helping rid of Umbridge before they left for good. Everything felt like it was going to be the turn of a new leaf as she stood by Draco's side, cheering on the Twins. At least that was until Harry collapsed.

"Harry!" Desiree ran to his side along with Hermione.

"Harry, are you alright?" asked Hermione.

"It's Sirius, I need to go," said Harry, quickly standing up and walking back into the castle.

"What do you mean 'it's Sirius'?" asked Hermione.

"I saw it. Voldemort is going to murder him. I have to save him," said Harry, making his way towards Umbridge's office.

"Harry what did you see?" asked Desiree.

"I saw him in the same place Mr. Weasley was and then Voldemort began torturing him," said Harry. "I have to go!"

"Then we're coming with you!" said Hermione.

"You can't, it's too dangerous," said Harry.

"When are you going to get it through your head that we're in this together," said Hermione. Desiree and Ron both nodded along with Hermione. Desiree felt bad for leaving Draco on a whim but if Sirius' life was at stake he would understand.

"That you are," said Umbridge, her wand pointed at the four children.
