As the game finished, and Ireland took their victory, Desiree began walking back to the tent with Cedric. The Weasleys followed shortly behind, half celebrating, half looking defeated.

"So, what did you think?" asked Cedric, swinging Desiree's arm as he held her hand.

"Oh I loved it! No offense but it may have been better than your matches," laughed Desiree.

"I am hurt," Cedric said jokingly. "But I'm glad you had fun," he smiled as the pair walked into their section of the tent.

"I did have fun," Desiree smiled. "I am ready for bed though."

"Oh and just when I thought you were going to be up partying like Fred and George since the Irish won," Cedric laughed.

"I can celebrate tomorrow, but now I need sleep," said Desiree, climbing onto the bed.

"Ou that does sound nice," said Cedric, climbing into the bed to be next to Desiree.

Just as Desiree had seemed to have fallen asleep in Cedric's arms, she had been woken up.

"Desiree wake up!" Cedric said in an urgent tone.

"What? What is it?" asked Desiree as she was half asleep.

"It's Death Eaters! We need to go!" said Cedric in the same urgent tone.

"What?!" asked Desiree as she quickly sat up.

"We don't have time to explain. Just please come on!" said Cedric.

"Okay, okay I'm coming," said Desiree.

"Wait!" Cedric paused, "Desiree I need you to promise that you'll keep running to the portkey no matter what. That you'll keep running even if we get separated."

Desiree looked to Cedric with concerned eyes, not sure what to say.

"Desiree please, I need you to promise me that no matter what happens you'll keep running," said Cedric.

"I promise," said Desiree.

As the two ran out into the chaos that was now the Quidditch World Cup it wasn't but a few seconds before the two became separated. Desiree kept running towards the portkey like she promised. Until she was knocked down by a large wizard running past her. As she was about to get up she found her ankle felt as though pins and needles were shooting through it. Desiree began to try and stand on her injured ankle, until she saw them, Death Eaters, walking in her direction. She sat frozen in fear, scared to see what they were going to do to her. She sat giving up hope within each second the closer they got, until she heard a familiar voice call her name.

"Desiree!" Draco shouted as he ran over to her.

"Draco you've got to go! They're almost here," said Desiree.

"I'm not leaving you here," said Draco, helping her up. "Now come on," he said as he now began pulling Desiree in the direction of the portkey. Her foot seemed to hurt worse with each step.

"Draco," she paused as he turned to her, "I can't run."

"Right, come on then," he said as he quickly scooped her up in his arms and continued the journey to the portkey. Just as the pair had arrived to where the mass of people were, looking for their portkeys, Draco placed Desiree back on her feet. They each looked into eachothers eyes, Draco into Desiree's bright green eyes, and Desiree into Draco's cool grey eyes.

"Desiree!" Cedric shouted as he ran up to her and took her in his arms. "I thought I had lost you."

"Yeah...me too," Desiree said as she looked to Draco, who began walking away once Cedric hugged her.

"I'm glad you're alright" said Cedric, pulling back from Desiree. "Oh it looks like it's time to go."

Desiree and Cedric quickly grabbed the portkey, along with Fred, George, and Ginny, just in time to be sent whizzing into the air. Before Desiree knew it, she was standing back in the forest she had met the Weasley's in earlier that morning.

"Where are Harry, Ron, and Hermione?" Desiree asked as she looked around them.

"They're not here," said George.

"Dad went to go look for them after they didn't show up to the portkey. Once he saw you coming up to it without them he knew he would have to go find them," said Fred.

"We should probably start walking back to the Burrow, Mum will be worried sick if we don't return soon," said Ginny.

"There's one problem," said Desiree reluctantly.

"What is it?" asked Cedric, looking worried.

"I can barely walk," said Desiree, looking to her injured ankle.

"We can help with that," said Fred and George.

"Don't pull any of your stunts on her," said Cedric.

"We're not," said George, now lifting one side of Desiree's body as Fred lifted the other.

"Now go on Cedric, your mother is probably worried as well. We've got it here," said Fred.

After Cedric left the four began their journey back to the Burrow, Desiree being held up by Fred and George.

"You know this would be a lot less embarrassing if we knew each other better," Desiree laughed.

"Ah looks like we might have a jokester on our hands," said Fred with a joking smile.

"Fred I think that may have been your worst joke yet," Ginny laughed.

Desiree let out a soft chuckle before Fred said, "I thought it was quite funny. You know, on our hands and she's in our hands."

"It was a bit corny," laughed Desiree as the four now approached the Burrow.

"Merlin's beard! What's wrong with her?" asked Mrs. Weasley as she ran out to the four children.

"It seems that she hurt her ankle as she was running away from the Death Eaters," said George.

"Okay let's get her on the couch for right now, at least until the others return," said Mrs. Weasley.

Once Desiree was carefully placed on the couch Mrs. Weasley asked, "Desiree, what happened dear?"

"I was running towards the portkey and someone knocked me down, and then when I went to get up my ankle hurt so bad I could barely get up," said Desiree.

"How did you get up then?" asked George as Mrs. Weasley began looking at Desiree's ankle.

"Draco saved me, he ran over to me as the Death Eaters were closing in on me," said Desiree.

Fred, George, and Ginny all looked at each other with the same confused expression, "You're sure it was Draco?" asked Fred.

"Yes I'm sure," said Desiree, looking to the three Weasley children that stood before her.

"Well the good news is that it only looks like you may have sprained it. You'll just need to keep off of it for a few days. I'll send your mother an owl to let her know you're alright. As for you three, you should be getting ready for bed." said Mrs. Weasley before she walked into the kitchen.

"Why is it so hard for you to believe that Draco was the one to save me?" asked Desiree.

"It's just out of character is all," said Ginny as the three began to make their way upstairs.

"Yeah, out of character," Desiree whispered to herself before she fell asleep right there on the couch.
