Today was the day Desiree would leave Platform 9 3/4, once again, to begin her third year at Hogwarts. She searched the train for Pansy, Draco, or Blaise, however, she couldn't find any of them. She then continued to the compartment where she found Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

"Hey guys." Desiree paused, "Who's that?" she said in a whisper.

"Don't ask me. Hermione's the one that knew his name." said Ron.

"Honestly Ron it's on his trunk." said Hermione, pointing up the the man's trunk above them.

"R.J. Lupin." Desiree said reading the trunk. "I'm guessing he's our new professor." said Desiree, sitting down next to Harry.

"I suppose so." said Hermione.

After a long conversation about each other's summer, the four inevitably landed on the topic on Sirius Black's escape from Azkaban.

"Let me get this straight, Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban to come after you?" asked Ron, his eyes wide.

"They'll catch Black won't they? I mean everyone's looking for him." said Hermione.

"Sure, except no one's ever broken out of Azkaban before and he's a murderous, raging, lunatic." said Ron, reluctantly

"He's right, my parents were telling me that no one in the history of the wizarding world has ever managed to break out of Azkaban." said Desiree.

"Thanks guys." said Harry, sarcastically.

Just then the train came to a screeching halt. "Why are we stopping? We can't be there yet." said Hermione, nervously.

"Maybe we've broke down." said Desiree, looking around the cabin nervously.

"There's something moving out there." Ron said with his cheek pressed against the window. "Someone's coming aboard."

The train gave a jolt, indicating that someone was now on the train, someone that was not welcome. Desiree began to grow quite cold. She felt as though all the happiness she had felt not only within the past hour, but the happiness she felt over the summer and the past two years, was gone. Then, she saw it, a Dementor that had left their post at Azkaban and was for some reason, on the Hogwarts Express, before her. The Dementor began to attack Harry. Desiree couldn't think of any spells that would make it stop. She couldn't believe, out of all of the spells she has read about and learned that she couldn't think of a single one that would help. Thankfully Lupin had just awoken from his sleep. He jumped up and used a charm that expelled the Dementor from the compartment, but not before Harry fainted.

"Harry, are you alright?" asked Desiree, as Harry began to wake up.

"Here eat this, it will help. It's alright it's chocolate." said Lupin, handing Harry a piece of chocolate.

"What was that thing?" asked Harry.

"It was a Dementor. One of the guards of Azkaban." said Desiree.

"It was searching the train for Sirius Black. If you'll excuse me, I need to have a little word with the driver." said Lupin, walking out of the compartment.

"What happened to me?" asked Harry.

"Well you sort of went rigid. We thought maybe you were having a fit or something." said Ron.

"And did any of you three...you know...pass out?" asked Harry.

"No. I felt weird though." said Ron.

"Like I'd never be cheerful again." said Delaney, joining the conversation.

After the rest of the ride went by without a hitch, Desiree made her way to the carriages and up to the castle with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Once getting off the carriage, Desiree made her way to the Slytherin table where she finally found Pansy, Draco, and Blaise.

"There you are, we were looking for you for ages." said Pansy as Desiree sat down across from her and next to Draco.

"I searched the train all over for you three. When I couldn't find you I sat went and sat with Harry." said Desiree.

"Speaking of Harry, we heard a rumor, and since you were there with them I guess you're the only person we can ask without actually going to them." said Blaise.

"What rumor?" asked Desiree confused.

"Please, I'll do it myself." said Draco, rolling his eyes. "Pottah."

"What are you doing?" Desiree whispered to Draco.

"Pottah. Is it true you fainted? I mean you actually fainted?" asked Draco.

"Shove off Malfoy." snapped Ron.

"Seriously?" said Desiree, glaring at Draco. "Turn around." she said forcefully turning Draco's body to face the correct way. She turned her head to look at Harry and mouthed the word, "Sorry."

"Honestly Draco if you wanted to know so badly you could have just asked me. I would have told you." said Desiree.

"And where's the fun in that?" he laughed.

"You are unbelievable." she rolled her eyes.

"Yeah well you've known how I am for almost three years now so." said Draco, taking a sip of his pumpkin juice.

"I suppose." Desiree said reluctantly, not wanting to lose her friendship with Draco once again.

"Okay, moving on." Pansy said trying to change the subject. "Have you heard from Cedric at all?"

"We still kept our weekly letters but I haven't seen him yet." said Desiree.

"Can we talk about something other than Diggory?" whined Draco.

"You're no fun." Pansy laughed.

The rest of the night the four friends talked about whatever came to mind. It wasn't until Pansy and Desiree made their way to their room that Pansy asked Desiree more about Cedric.

"So tell me everything." smiled Pansy.

"About?" asked Desiree.

"Well about Cedric and his letters of course." Pansy said sitting on her bed.

"There isn't much to tell." said Desiree, as she began folding some of her clothes.

"Oh come on there has to be something." said Pansy, slightly let down.

"We would just write about anything we wanted to. Anything that was on our mind really." said Desiree.

"Well did you look forward to his letters?" asked Pansy.

"I actually did, strangely enough." Desiree let out a slight giggle.

"I think the time has finally come. You fancy Cedric!" said Pansy excitedly.

Desiree stood up from her trunk abruptly. "I don't know. I mean it's Cedric. We've been friends since our first year." said Desiree, facing the opposite direction of Pansy, with a smile on her face.

"You've been friends with Draco and I the same amount of time. That has nothing to do with it." said Pansy with a slight smile.

"I'm not sure, I guess I have to give it time." Desiree smiled.

Pansy jumped up, "I knew it. I knew there was something there." she said hugging Desiree.
