The audience was silent as the stage curtains were drawn closed as shuffling could be heard behind it as the stage scenery was being changed for the next part in the play
The lights suddenly dimmed and the spotlight shined on Penelope "one day in class when Elphaba, Galinda and others were being taught by Doctor Dillamond, a goat professor at Shiz university, was the only animal professor working there and he was dealing with discrimination and was concerned with a conspiracy to stop animals speaking" she spoke before the spotlight dimmed as the curtains opened.
On the stage sat a few desks with random students sat at the desk with Lizzie and Harmony sat at the desks by the front. There was a man dressed up with goat antlers and a goat mask and holding a cane, he was one of the teachers who was playing the role of Doctor Dillamond
A bell rang and the few students including Lizzie got up and exited the stage leaving Harmony and the teacher "Elphaba may I have a word?" he asks making Harmony turn to him "is there something wrong Doctor Dillamond?" she asks as she walks up to him.
(Something bad)
Teacher: Oh Miss Elphaba. The things one hears these days.
Dreadful things
I've heard of an Ox a professor from Quox
No longer permitted to teach
Who has lost all powers of speech
And an owl in Munchkin rock
A vicar with a thriving flock forbidden to preach

Harmony: It couldn't happen here in Oz
(Song ends and the stage lights dim as the curtains close)
The spot light shines on Penelope "it was another day at Shiz university when a new student arrived. His name Fiyero Tiggular and he seeks to introduce the other students to his philosophy of dancing through life and in the midst of it he organizes a party which all student agree to attend" she spoke looking out into the audience "Galinda was approached by Boq, a munchkin and he attempted to ask her to the ball however she was wanting to go with Fiyero so she persuaded Boq to take Nessarose instead" she said as the spotlight turned away from her as the curtains reopened.
