Part 80

Hailey POV*

I wake with a twisting and turning feeling in my stomach. I hop out the bed and to the conjoining bathroom inside our room. "Hailey" I hear Jay say as I empty my stomach again. I rest my head on my arms and sit back on my legs. I feel Jay's cold hand on the back of my neck relieving the pain a little, he pulls my hair behind my ears and out my face. "I didn't make it to the toilet" I say pointing to the now dirty sink. "Hey It's okay, I'll clean it, you shower" he say running warm water. After the hot shower I change into jeans and a shirt, getting for work. "you sure you want to work today" he says. "Jay I'm fine, I promise" I say holding up my pinky. "really" stepping closer to me. "yes" he wraps his pinky around me and places a soft kiss on my lips.

He goes to make breakfast and I wake up the kids. "Hey wake up" I say gently shaking them awake. They all wake up, get dressed and eat breakfast before it's time to go. "Auggie come take your meds" I say getting a water bottle from the fridge. He take the pills while I tie his shoes, I help Ryder put on his clothes and shoes. Then we leave out the apartment. We drop off Amira, then Auggie, and finally Ryder.

Jay POV*

At the district we get started on old paperwork. I look over at Hailey to make sure she's okay every once in a while. The day seemed to be going well no cases, there was a casual game of paper ball between me, Adam, and Kevin. "Hey Kev we gotta go" I look up and Rojas is turning off all her stuff. "Why?" Kev asks. I see Vanessa toss Kev her phone while she walks to Voight's office. "Is everything okay" Kim asks. I hear Voight from behind me says "go, go we got it here". I watch as the hurry up with packing up. "Did she tell you how long she stopped breathing" i hear Kev ask as they walk down the stairs. "Sarge what happened" I ask as everyone turns their head to Voight. "The babysitter called, Val starting coughing up liquid, she's at med now. Rojas said she would text an update, but for now we have paperwork to do unless something comes up" he says.

"Hey Sarge" I say. "what the hell are you doing, Jay" Hailey try's to whisper. I hear a slight laugh from Adam before I begin. "Amira has a soccer today we told her that we would try to be there" I say. "Hailey" he says. "We didn't promise anything if you want us here" she says. "It's the last game of the season, she wants us there ,you could see it in her eyes" I say. "If nothing comes up by three you can go" he says walking into his office.

Hailey POV*

An hour goes by quick and it already three, me and Jay log off the computers. "Hey just got a text from Kev" Kim says

Hey Kim, Valentina has bronchitis. The doctor sedated her, to give her lungs a break. They'll be keeping her here overnight. Can you and Adam keep Blu with you tonight? I can drop him off when I get clothes for her. Text me back if you can't watch him. Thank you.-Kev

"Oh my god" I say. "Tell him I will take Blu for as long as they need" Adam says as Kim start texting. "Do they need anything" I ask. "He said he's call later with new" Kim says. "Hails we got to go" Jay whispers. "bye guys" I say texting Annalise letting her know were on the way. "Please tell us what he says" Jay say as we walk down the stairs. We pick up Ryder before heading to the game.

"Sorry were late" Jay say as we sit next to Annalise on the bleachers. "It okay she hasn't started yet" she says. "Why isn't the coach starting the best player" I whisper to Annalise. "I know, something about letting the other girls get a chance at scoring" she says. "There just jealous that my baby gets more playing time" she say catching a few eyes. "Amira told me about baby number two. How are you feeling?" She asks. "I sick, achy, happy sad. It a mix" I say. "That's what hormones do to ya" Annalise says. "I'm excited for a girl, hopefully it be easier than it was with Ry. " I say. "Having Amira grist was definitely helpful when August came along. She was such a big help and she still is" she says.

"Hey guys" Kim say coming up behind me. "What're you doing here?" Jay asks. "Blu, Blu" Ry says hoping down from Jay's lap to pet the dog. "can I pet the dog? Mami" Auggie asks. "Yeah" Annalise says. "Hi I'm Kim this is Adam. we work with Hailey and Jay" she says. "Hi Annalise, cute dog" Annalise says. "Look their subbing out 35 for Amira" I say as we turn our attention back to the game.

By the time the game ends the score is 7:4 Amira scoring 4 of the 7 winning goals. After the games the coach gives a speech and then the girls leave. "Mami!" She say running over with a her bags in hand. "Baby you did so well" Annalise says. "Did you see me, I scored four goals" She says excitedly. "You guys came" She says hugging me and Jay. "and you too" now hugging Kim and Adam. "wouldn't miss it" I say. "We got to go but it was nice seeing you again, and nice to meet you two" Annalise says grabbing on of Amira's bags. "August come on" She says. "Aww, bye Blu, bye Ry-Ry" he says petting the dog and hugging Ryder before taking his moms hand. "Bye" we hear Amira yell as she gets in the car.

We start walking back to the car with Kim and Adam. "Any news on Val" Jay asks. I put Ryder in his car seat and buckle him up. "we'll call when we know something" Kim says as he phone goes off. "Speaking of Kev, it him" she says reading the text. "What'd he says?" I ask. "He asked if we could pick up Vanessa's favorite food and Val's blanket with a change of clothes for them" Kim says. "Do you need help we could-" I start. "No we got go home be with Ry" She says. "Bye Ryder" Adam say opening Kim's door for her. "Bye-bye" Ryder say waving at them. We head home and relax for the rest of the night.
