Vanessa POV*

We had just finished a bust at a sauna full of Russian mafia members. Everyone is dehydrated and exhausted by the toll this case took on us all Kim has a sprained ankle and Jay has a couple bruised rib. Everything about this case was draining but we got it done.  "Hey Rojas you alright" Voight says driving us back to the district, because Adam went to med with Kim, and Kev is still at the scene. "Yeah I'm fine just really tired,that's all" I say. "When we get back you can go home, just be back early tomorrow for paperwork" Voight say parking the car in the district garage. I get out the car feeling a little lightheaded. "you good" Voight asks because I'm gripping the car to balance myself. "Yeah" I say taking my weight slowly off the car. I walk up the step still feeling lightheaded, I walk up to Platt's desk for the sign out sheet.

"Rojas. You look tired" Platt says. "Thanks Sarge. You know where my daughter is" I say. "Your Baby sitter dropped her off an hour ago she's in there sleeping" she says pointing to the spare office  across the way. I walk into the semi dark office pick Val up and walk back out. "Hey, hey you can't do that. Superintendent want the paperwork done tonight" Platt say taking the sign out sheet from my hand. "You tell her what time it is or that we have kids" I say very frustrated and a little loud. "Sorry Sarge it just" I start. "Hey it okay look I'll take her and you can get your paper work done" She say walking out of her desk area to hold Val. "Thanks Sarge" I say as I walk up to the bullpen. I almost to my desk when the room starts spinning and I can't catch my breath I try to hold on to the Kim's desk. Then every thing goes black.

Voight POV*

I look up when I hear something fall. I look at Adams desk first because he always has stuff falling off of it. Then I move my eye to the left, to Kim's desk where I see the left side of it is mostly gone. I get up from my desk and open the office door where I see Vanessa on the floor next to Kim's desk. I turn back to grab my radio.

"5021 we got a officer down at the 21 district roll an ambulance to location" I say on the radio.

I check her pulse and it's a little fast but at least it there. "Hey what's going on I heard you call for a - oh my god Vanessa. Is she okay" Platt say still holding Val. The ambulance get there in less than five minutes. They load her up in the rig out front. "Anyone coming with her" the paramedic says. Platt looks at me then at Val. "No" I say. "We're taking her to med" as she shuts the ambulance.  "I'll go to the hospital and I'll take Val too" I say as Trudy passes the still sleeping toddler to me. We walk back to inside and most of the patrolman are standing around talking. "I leave you alone for a few minutes and your forget your jobs.... GO!" She says as they find something to do. I go behind Trudy's desk to grab Val's backpack and car seat. "Keep me posted" Platt shouts from across the room as we walk out the district.

We're finally on the road after figuring out how to put her car seat in. "Mama" I hear Val's soft voice from the backseat say. "Hi Valentina your mama fell down and we going to the hospital to see her right now" I say. "Papa" she say out of all the kids she's the only one who calls me Papa, which makes me feel like a grandpa again since I don't really see Olive and Daniel that much. We reach the hospital and I take Valentina out the back and I carry her in.

"Hank" Maggie says. "Vanessa's in bay 4" she say. I walk to the room where Vanessa is hooked up to an IV, has wires coming out of her gown, and is still unconscious. I set Val's backpack down in one chair and sit down with Val in my lap in the other. I playing with Valentina when the door opens. "Hey doc any news on when she'll wake up" I say putting the toys back in Valentina's backpack because she fell asleep. "She should wake up in the next hour and the lab is still running her blood work. She was very dehydrated which caused her to faint. Do you know when she last ate or drank something today?" Will says. "I don't know we were working a big case we didn't have much time to eat in between" I say."I'll be back with news" he says. "Hey can I get a blanket for her" I say motioning to a shivering Valentina. Will grabs a blanket from the cart on the other side of the room before walking out of the room. I wrap Val in the blanket and hold her close.

Vanessa POV*

I wake up to very bright lights and I'm not in the district anymore. I look around and see the IV in my arm see the wires and stickers attached to my chest. I look to my right and Voight and Val are there. "Sarge.... what happened" I say shielding the light from my eyes. "Rojas your awake, you fainted at the district, we brought you to MED" Voight says. "I'll get the doctor" he says about to get up. "No I'm good just want to hold my daughter" I say reaching out for Val as Voight gets up and places her on my bed. "I remember putting my hand on Kim's desk, I think I knocked some stuff off, I know she's really OCD about her desk" I say rubbing my eyes. "Kim's still here. I'll clean it up when I get back" He says.

A few minutes later Will comes back with a woman doctor. "We got your test results back. Do you want Voight to be here for the results?" Will asks. "Is it bad" Asking worriedly. "Hey I can go if you want" Voight says getting up. "No it's good" the other doctor says.  "I guess you could stay" I say sitting back, resting my head against the pillows. "Okay, we ran you blood and your..."
