Part 85

Hailey POV*

I wake up around 6am and I hear the shower running. I get dressed and go to the Ry's room to check on them but they're not there, so I check the living room and there they are Auggie sleeping on the carpet and Ry snuggled up next to Amira. I start to make breakfast for all the kids, when I see Auggie walk into the kitchen with a blanket around him. "your up early" I say still making breakfast as Auggie nods. "So today were going back down to the district and your going to hangout with Platt at the front, Is that okay?" I say giving him his breakfast and medicine. "When can I go home?" Auggie asks taking a bite of his food. "Oh buddy right now your house is a crime scene and that means you can't go back to home until it's cleaned out, but Jay can get your clothes from the apartment" I say trying not to scare him to much. "okay" he says eating more breakfast.

When Jay leaves and the door shuts Ry wakes up. I hand him some breakfast and then he gets dressed. "What do I wear" Auggie says. "I washed your clothes from yesterday and look their nice and warm" I said opening the dryer. When Amira wakes up she eats the last of the breakfast gets dressed before we leave the apartment and head to the district. We get to the district and I leave the kids with Platt while I head to work from my desk.

Jay POV*

I get to early work and I set up the board. "Your here early" Voight says leaning on his office door. "Yeah just need this case to be over" I say. "I get it but you know the team can handle this if you need to go home and be with the kids" he says. "No. They need me here, but I do need to sign these papers for the house were buying at 1pm so can I leave for a bit" I ask. "Yeah we can hold the fort down over here" he says walking into his office as everyone comes up the stairs.  I'm going over the evidence that was on scene and from what Amira told me yesterday. "I think we got something" Kim says walking up the steps. "I just talked to a neighbor and she said Annalise opened the door for the for the plumber at noon and when she got back from her walk the plumber was walking out" Kim says. "This plumber got a name" Kev says. "Yeah Robert Dudley" she says. "Hit It" Voight says as we grab our gear. We get to this guy's house and find him then bring him back to the station. We used the back stairwell trying to avoid the kids. "Rob?" Amira says as the offender just glares at her. "Jay what's he doing here" she asks as I hand the offender off to a patrolman. "Did he kill her, did he kill her!" she yells and cry's. "We don't know yet" I say. "Hailey is on her way there why don't you and Auggie come to this thing with us" I say pulling out my phone to text Voight that I'm leaving for a little bit. We walk back to the front desk and then we head to the place to meet Hailey.

"Where are we going" Amira asks. "We're here" I say parking the car. "What is this place" she asks. "Hailey and I are buying a house. Right now we're going to sign the papers to be official homeowners" I say open my door. "After this can we stop by the apartment, Hailey said I could get me and Auggie clothes" I she asks. "Yeah after we finish this" I say opening the door for them to walk in. We meet with Hailey and sign the papers. Then Hailey takes Auggie to get Ry while I take Amira to grab clothes for her and Auggie.

Amira POV*

We get to the apartment and Jay uses his knife to cut the crime scene tape. Once the door is open Jay walks in, but I just stand there. I can't feel anything I can still see her there lying on the floor we once danced on, the floor we sat on when we first moved here. "Hey we can come back another time" he says walk to me. "No I'm good" I say wiping the tear from my face. Me and Auggie didn't really have much stuff so I grab our duffle bags and our backpacks. I fill up Auggie's duffle with his clothes, favorite blanket, and stuffed animals. Then I walk to my room and do the same, I walk to mom's room and grab some of her stuff that Auggie and I liked and pack that in my soccer backpack with all of my other stuff. When I finish pack all of our stuff, I put it in Jays truck and bring them back to his place. We get back to their apartment, and Auggie takes his bag from my hands to show Ry all his favorite toys.
