Part 11

Platt's POV*

 As soom as Intelligence gets off I see Adam, Kevin, Kim, and Vanessa leave together so I figured they were going to Molly's. Then I hear Hailey and Jay says " see you tomorrow". I then see Jay leave but before Hailey could leave I call her over. " Hey Platt I got to go so what is it?" she says. "What's up with you and Halstead tomorrow" I says. " Oh were just going to the park" she says but then I see her face turn pale like she didn't mean to say that. I pull her into the extra office and tell her to spill. It take her a while but she eventually tells me." Um I have a son and when  I got back from the case yesterday Jay can to my house and saw him and now Ryder wants to got the park with Jay." Hailey says in one long breath." Is it just you and him like no dad or.." I say before I could finish she said "Yeah just me and him his dads dead". " Okay well is that it because I should really get to him so bye Platt see you Monday" Hailey says as she wipes a tear from her eye." Hey Hailey before you leave you should really tell the  team because were a family here" I say but she just nods and leaves .

Hailey's POV*

It was the next morning and I get up take a shower all before Ry wakes up. When I'm done I go to Ry's room wake him up make him breakfast bush his teeth and then I get him dressed. Then I text Jay. Telling him that me and Ry are on our way to the park. It's exactly 11am when we get to the park. We get out the car and walk to the park bench by the play ground. When Ryder sees jay he lets go of my hand and runs to him. "Hey bud" he says as he is holding Ry and we walk to the bench when I see a bag on the bench. " What's that" I says pointing to the bag on the chair. "Oh hey Ryder, Hai- your mom said you like firetrucks so I got you something" he says pulling out the plush Firetruck toy. "What do you say bud?" "Thanks Jay , can I play now" says Ryder. " Yeah go a head bud" I say. When Ryder get up Jay and I start talking. " So how parenthood life?" " It hard but I love it" "he a great kid Hails". After a long conversation Ryder come back over and asks if we could all get ice cream " I don't know buddy it's up to Jay" I says with a smile. " Yeah we sure can I think I saw a place about two block away I'll meet you there" says Jay. 

We get to the Ice cream place and  Ry and I order just plain Vanilla with sprinkles, Jay orders butter pecan Ice cream. Sit talk and laugh just the three and It just feels right being with jay and Ry. When we have to leave Ryder start crying and Jay picks him up and says " Hey don't cry I'll see you soon bud". " Okay, can your take me to school on Monday in your big truck, Please" says Ryder. " I don't think so maybe another time but I'll see you later alligator" Jay says " after a while crocodile" Ryder says. The we walk out together as Jay holds a sleeping Ryder to my car, me and Jay hug goodbye and leave.
