Amira POV*

After school I walk with Ezra to the bus. "So did you ask them yet" he say as we get on the bus. "No wait I left my phone in my gym locker" I say rushing to get off the bus. When I come back from the lockeroom. I see that the bus was already gone. I was about to text Hailey when someone taps my shoulder. "Jesus you have to stop doing that" I say jumping back. "Maybe your the one whos deaf, I thought you heard me." he says laughing. "haha but what are you doing hear I thought you got on the bus" I say taking a seat on the bench with Ezra. "No couldn't leave my friend behind so come on I called my grandma she said she here so lets go" he says walking to her car. "wait" I say grabbing his hand. "Are you sure she's okay with this because I can walk home" I say. "I told her my friend missed the bus and we need a ride" he says opening the school door for me. "thanks". "It's the red car" he says pointing it out. "Hi grandma" he says opening the door for me. "Ezzy you didn't say your friends was a girl" she says making me blush. "Ezzy? I like it" I say as he shuts my door, but not before making a funny face at me. "Grandma this is Amira, Amira this is my grandma or Mrs. Hayes" Ezra says. the car ride is mostly silent  until we reach the neighborhood. "Okay Amira which house is your" she says pulling into the neighborhood. "It's the gray one on the left, with the black car parked outside" I tell her.

We get to the house and she parks the car. "Thank you for the ride Mrs. Hayes" I say getting out the car as they do they same. "Oh you guys don't have to get out the car I'm good" I say walking up the front steps. "I'd just like to meet the parents of my grandsons friend" Mrs. Hayes says as Ezra mouths Sorry. "Oh their not my parents" I say opening the door. I walk up stairs and put my backpack down in my room then I get Hailey. "Hailey, Hailey" I say looking in every room upstairs. I go back downstairs and check the kitchen. "I was waiting for you to find us." she says bouncing Rowan in the baby carrier. "What's up" she asks. "Ezra and his grandma want to meet you. Ezra is the friend I told you about yesterday" I say. "Okay when do they want to meet" she asks. "Right now" I say walking to the door. "Oh" she says before opening the door.

"Hi, Hailey and this is Rowan" Hailey says waving Rowan's hand at Mrs. Hayes. "Hello I'm Mrs. Hayes Ezra's grandma I just wanted to say to meet my grandsons friend and cute baby" she says. "Thanks" Hailey says. "So what do you do, Hailey" she asks. "I'm in law enforcement" Hailey says. "Wow what about your husband" she says looking at the ring. "He's also in law enforcement, that's where we met" she says. "Wow I met my Eddie at at a drive-in job we had in high school may he rest" she says just as Rowan gets fussy. Hailey unbuckles her and rocks her.

I stop listening to the conversation because Ezra waves me over. "What's up Ezzy" I say smiling. "I don't call me that." he says. "What it's cute" I say smirking. "fine but I get to call you..." he says stopping to think. "Ha no nickname goes with Amira" I say. "I'll find one for you" Ezra. "Hey you want to see what games I have" I say. "Yeah" he says as we walk inside the house. "Hold where are you two going?" Hailey asks. "To see the games upstairs" I say. "Okay" she says. "Thanks" I say walking back inside the house. "Wait take her just put her in the crib with elephant blanket" she says handing over Jaykes to me.

Hailey POV*

I give Rowan to Amira and they go upstairs. "would you like to come in" I say opening the door again. "yes that would be nice thank you"  Mrs. Hayes says walking in. "I'm sorry we were talking about what again" I say. " We were talking about Amira and Ezra" she says. "Oh Yeah Amira is such a great kids she loves soccer and she loves playing video games with Jay and I" I say. " Ezra is on a swim team and loves to read those big series books" she says before the door bust open.

"Be quiet RoRo is sleeping" I hear Jay say. "Hails who's car is that outside" Jay says as he and the boys walk into the kitchen. "Who's that" Ry says pointing to Mrs. Hayes. "Go upstairs and don't bother Amira" Jay says pushing them out the kitchen. "Well you've got a full house" Mrs. Hayes says. "tell me about it. Jay this is Ezra's grandma Amira's friend"  I say. "Hi I'm Jay Halstead" he says shaking her hand as Amira and Ezra come back down stairs. "Hailey can I go to Ezra's house Saturday" Amira asks. "No we got that thing maybe Sunday if it's okay with Mrs. Hayes. I say. "Were not doing anything on Sunday that's fine" Mrs. Hayes says. " Okay thank you" Ezra says. "Come on Ezzy we gotta take Arlo out for a walk" Mrs. Hayes says getting up from the table. "Bye Ezra" Amira says before shutting the door.
