Part 78

Hailey POV*

"Ry where's Ryder" I say putting on my shoes. "in the bathroom" Jay says standing outside the bathroom door. Once he's out Jay puts on his shoes, we leave to go to the appointment. We get to the hospital and ride the elevator up to the fourth floor. I sign in and take a seat next to Jay. "Mrs. Halstead" a nurse calls out. "Could never get tired of hear those words" jay whispers in my ear, I smile as I take Ryder's hand and follow the nurse

Once the nurse finishes her exam the doctor comes in to do a ultrasound. "Welcome back Halstead's and you brought a friend" she says waving to Ryder as he waves back. "You know the drill, Hailey" she says taking a seat in her chair and getting out the gel. I lift up my shirt to reveal a some-what small bump. The doctor squirts the cold gel on my stomach making me tense up for a second. The doctor moves the ultrasound wand around my stomach searching for the baby. I get a little nervous so I reach out for Jays hand to comfort me. Then a beautiful sound erupted throughout the room, the heartbeat. 

"I know you said last week you wanted to know the sex, I can clearly see it, if you still want to know" she asks. "yes" Jay and I say at the same time. "Okay you are having a baby-" The doctor starts but is cut off by a nurse opening the door in a rush. "There's a woman in labor out here says your her OB" The nurse says. "Girl, it's a girl, blue towels right there and the nurse will get you discharge papers. Email me if you have any questions" The doctor and nurse rush out the room, the door slamming shut after them. Leaving us with the great news. "It's a girl" Jay repeats. " you win" I say remembering the bet that he could choose the name if he guessed right. Jay jumps up and kisses me with so much passion, we pull apart to Ryder saying "ew" over and over again.

We get back to the house after the appointment and jay won't stop smiling. "Jay you have to stop the drive through guy asked if I was alright" I say sitting down on the couch. "I'm sorry. I'm just so happy we're having a girl" he says. "I'm having a girl, your just the baby daddy" I say joking. "Just the baby daddy, really Hails. That hurt" he says gripping his chest while walking towards me. "Not as much as birth is" I say as hands resting on the back of the couch, our lips now closer to each others. "Jay" I whisper biting my lip a little. "yeah" he whispers behind my ear. "We can't Ryder's right there" I say looking into his gorgeous green eyes. "He has my phone watching a movie" he says kissing down my neck. "But" I get out. "With headphones on" he says. That's all I need before were half way down the hall to the bedroom.
