Jay POV*

After the girls fall asleep the nurse takes Rowan back to the NICU for testing. "We need to talk about Amira, she's still not sleeping" I say."I think she should talk to someone professionally" Hailey says as I nod. "Can you hand me my phone" she asks. "You calling the team to meet the new addition" I say. " Yeah actually " I say as I call the group chat.
When the team gets here I walk out to the nurse station to find them. "How is she" Kim asks. "Hailey and the baby are fine but the other kids are still sleeping so don't wake them up" I say as I open the door to her room.
Hailey POV*

" hey Hailey " Kevin says. "Hey guys weren't you at work" I say rocking the baby. "Yes but Voight said we could go see you guys, isn't it there first day of school" Vanessa says. " Oh we forgot Jay" I say. "Well as the godmother of this baby I think I should get to hold her first" Vanessa say after washing her hands. I hand Vanessa the baby. " so what the name" she Adam ask. " You want to say it" I ask Jay. " At 10:12 Rowan Jaykes Halstead was born 6 pound 4 ounces and 20 inches tall." I add. "That's a cute name guys congrats" Adam says. " Thanks guys so how are y'all" I ask. We talk for a while before the kids start waking up one by one. Auggie and Ryder wake up first. " Is she here" Auggie says hopping off the bench. "You want to meet her" I say as he climbs the on to the hospital bed. I place the baby into his arms but still supporting her head. " your hair buddy" I say. Jay takes a couple pictures of us before Ry wakes up so we take more pictures. "Kev, it been weeks and I love Auggie's curls but he needs a haircut" I ask. " Yeah I can take him to where I go if you want" Kevin says. "Thanks Kev" Jay says.
Amira POV*

The last thing I remember was holding Jaykes. I wake up to voices I can see Vanessa and Kim in the room. " Hey sweetie your awake" Kim says. I take my phone out my jacket pocket and look at the time. It's almost 2 pm, and Jay comes back with lunch from subway. "I brought food" he says opening the door. After we finish lunch and the baby is taken back to the NICU. "we are so sorry you guys missed your first day of school but you are going tomorrow" Jay says. " What was the surprise" Auggie says. " it was hot chocolate but you guys didn't wake up till after breakfast" he says. " okay" I says. " so I'm taking you guys home for dinner and Hailey I'll see you tomorrow love you" he says. We get up and say bye to Hailey as we walk out the door.

Jay POV*

I get the next morning at 5:30 am, I wake up the kids and make them cereal. "Auggie this weekend you and Ry are getting haircuts and Amira 7th grade it your first second day of school you ready" I ask. "yeah so ready" she says walking upstairs. I do Auggie and Ryders's hair then I tie their shoes and pack their lunch all before the clock hits 6:15. I go upstairs to check on Amira and she is still in her pajamas. "What are you doing we got to go Hailey's being discharged today" I say not hearing the soft cry coming from behind me. "are you okay" I ask sitting on the bed. She doesn't talk just shakes her head no. " okay um it's your first day without your mom is that why your sad" as she nods yes. " your mom would want you to be happy she would be so proud of who you and your brother are becoming. Come on we we're still getting that hot chocolate" I say. A couple minutes later she walks down with her backpack and jacket, I take pictures and leave by 6:30. 

We pick up Hailey and Rowan from the hospital then we go to the coffee shop they like. " okay three hot chocolates" I says getting back in the car. We get to Amira's shook and I hop in the carpool lane.  "I emailed you principal and she said go to the office for you scheduled and she would show you where to go have a great day and we love you, take the bus home" Hailey says as Amira gets out the car. " Bye Auggie" she says before shutting the door. Next we go to Auggie school and we all have to get out the car to walk to his classroom. " Hey Jay just take Ry and Auggie in it hurts to walk the baby is sleeping so we'll be fine" she says. " okay I say shutting the backseat door.

We stop as soon as we get to his classroom. " hi what your name" his teacher says. We stand there for a good 20 seconds before I say something. " Hi I'm Jay and this is August and Ryder". " Oh you emailed me yesterday congrats on the baby, you need to go down to the office and there should be a folder under August's name it just papers to bring back by Monday. August you can go into class now" she says stepping away to talk to another parent. I try to let go of his hand but he keeps holding on. "I don't want to go" he says crying. "Buddy look there are so many kids here your gonna make lots of friends and you have recess you saw that big playground out front and you have your own desk with pencils and paper and look at all those books I'll be back for you at 3 so wait by the playground for me okay, I love you" I say giving him a hug.

I walk back to the car with Ry and Bucky him back up. " What's all this" Hailey asks. " Papers for medical and other school stuff" I say. "He cried" I tell here's were half way back home after taking Ry to preschool. " Is he alright I should've gone inside with you" she says. " no lots of kids cry on their first day of school it okay Hailey it happens" I say.

We get home and the first thing Hailey does is sleep so it's just me and Jaykes for a while. "Alright Rowan mommy's asleep what do you wanna do?" I ask rocking her. "You want to sleep to okay" I walk upstairs to the nursery and lay her down, then I turn on the baby monitor and camera while I go back downstairs to watch TV.
