Hailey POV*

It's finally February and Jay and I just got back from our cabin trip. It was very eventful in many ways. Anyway today is our first day back to work and were picking up Ry from Will's place. We start our day off normal, by going to work. "If it isn't goldilocks and chuckles, you enjoy your vacation" said Platt. "We did Sarge" Jay say taking my hand as we walk up to the bullpen. "Your back" Kim says giving me a hug. "Hey you guys missed Atwater last week it was hilarious" Adam say laughing at the thought of last week.

Last week/ Adam POV*

It was a quiet day at the station, just the normal amount of paper work. When I hear foot steps from the back stairwell. "Hey Kev are you okay" Kim says as he keeps repeating something to himself. "I'll get the coffee" I say grab a mug from the breakroom to fill and give it to him. Once he takes a sip, Voight comes out of his office. "What's going on out her, oh Kevin's here" he says looking confused. "She won't stop crying" he says straight faced. "Val's a baby Kev she going to cry" I say. "Not Val, Vanessa, she thinks the baby hates her" he says. "Are you guys okay because we can help y'all out" I say. "Diaper, I-I told her we were out of diapers" he says getting up. "And the dog that damn dog, I should've waited until Val was older to get it, it pooped on her favorite pacifier, I have to get her another. She won't sleep or eat enough. were tired so tired" he says. Kim walks away for a second to answer her phone. "hello" she says. the other person on the phone sounds very angry. Kim looks over at me and says "It's Vanessa". she puts it on speaker phone. "Kevin I know your there I can track you phone get the diaper. Shit" Vanessa says as the line goes quiet. "what happened" Voight says still engaged in the conversation. "That little shit peed on me, I gotta go come home" she says whispering into the phone and hanging up.

Hailey POV*

"Oh my god I was dying laughing Vanessa was so angry" Adam tells us. "Yeah she was" Kev says walking up the stairs with baby Val in her car seat. Kim goes to him the trying to take the baby carrier from Kev's hands. "Where's V" I say giving him a hug. "She's taking a nap at home, she needed a break from the crying, so daddy brought Val on a drive and we ended up here" he says lifting Valentina from the car seat. "That's really nice of you to give her a break, I know I could've used one when Ry was a baby" I say. "What do you mean you're a great mom to Ryder" Adam says. "Now maybe, but back when he was baby I was so lost everyone in my building hated me because he wouldn't sleep at night and It was draining to raise a kid by myself. Until Estella my old neighbor moved in she would watch him while I napped and she used to made the best Cuban food I've ever had" I say. When Kevin and Val left we got to work on more paper work until it was time to go home.

We get home after picking up Ry from Preschool and take him to the park to play. "What going in that head of yours" Jay says as we sit down on the bench and watch Ry. "Nothing". "It not nothing Hailey. Are you still thinking about you parents" as my face cringes. "you are" he says. "Should I tell her, I mean you heard Kev, this whole situation has been hard on her. I just don't want to make it worst" I say leaning my head on his shoulder. "You'll only make it worst by not telling her" he says as Ry runs up to us. "Can you play?" he asks as we get up and follow him around the park.
