Vanessa POV*

" 43rd street three days ago" Jay adds.

Jay POV*

"I got a hit on their names. Meet the Blake brother grew up in Canary Ville their dad owns a house on the east side, I got a warrant for the house" Kevin says. "Hit it" Voight says as we get to go. The drive there is about thirty minutes long which gives me an opportunity to talk to Hailey. "What's on your mind Jay" she ask. "Nothing" I say. "You've been glancing at me. What wrong?" she asks again. "I think you should've stay back at the district with Vanessa" I say. "Can handle myself if that's what you implying". "I know you can its not just you anymore. You have to think about our kid know" I say. "I know that, but I love this job and as soon as I hit 5 months I'm out and it the call center then maternity leave. And even when I get back I'll bee put on desk duty. So just let me love my job before I can't do it anymore" she says as we park at the scene.

We get into positions with Kev in front with the battering-ram. "Chicago PD we got a warrant" he say before hitting the door with full force as it flies open. Voight and Kevin clear the first floor while Kim and I go upstairs. "You here that" she says looking back at me as I follow her up the stairs. We check all the door until we get to the closed one. We both get on one side of it and I reach out me hand to grab the door when shots ring out. "10-1,10-1 shot fired at the police we need back up" Kim yells into the radio. I motion our plan to her as she goes around the back to the other door that leads into the room. I kick in the door and grab the offenders gun wrestling with him for it. I find and opening and punch him, eventually getting the gun from him. Now pointing it at him, Kim cuffs him and brings him out to patrol.

I walk out handing the gun to evidence and then walk to the team. "I heard you found a body" I say. "Yeah Rob shot with a 45 in the chest, the same one that killed Bennett" Adam say. "Where's Hailey" I say looking around. "She and Kim went to do something, they just left" Voight says.

Kim POV*

"Where are we going Hailey" I ask but she keeps driving. "Were going to talk to Katie" she says. We reach the familiar apartment and knock on her door. "Yes" she answers through the tears. " Oh Detectives hi" Katie says letting us in the apartment. We take a seat in the kitchen because Maison is sleeping on the couch. "I brought you something" Hailey says. I didn't even know she had something in her hand. Hailey puts the bag on the table and Katie takes it. "What is it" she says starting to open it. "It's the things your husband bought, well not the exact same one those are in evidence, but the last thing he bought." Hailey says.

As Katie take's out the gifts her hand moves to her mouth as she reads the shirts. "Thank you" she say wiping the ever flowing tears from her face. The Maison wakes up and walks over. " Look at you shirt Mase" she says to the little boy. "Can you help me put it on" he asks. " I'll help you buddy" I says giving Hailey and Katie time to talk.

Hailey POV*

"Thank you" so much for this" Katie says. " It was nothing really I bought some stuff for my son to so that was nice" I say. When Kim walks back out we say our good byes and leave. "That was nice of you" Kim says. " I honestly hate shopping but it was nice to get out" I say driving back to the district. " What, shopping isn't bad? It's an escape for me." Kim says. " an escape from what?" I ask. "Escape from being a cop when I'm out I don't have to work or see dead people. I can just be me . What about you what's your escape" she asks. "My escape is Jay" I say smirking. "Gross Hailey" she says. " you asked" I say as we laugh.
