The Secrets We Keep

Part 34

Amira POV*

Mom back to finish work around 1 am and its now 3 am. In the span of 3hours Auggie and Ryder fell asleep next to each other, while Jay and Hailey were asleep to. But me on the other hand could find comfortable position on the cot some nurse put in the room after mom left. I got up off the cot, walked out of the room and to the vending machine to grab mine and my dads favorite snack, M&M's. as I sat in the chair alone with my thoughts. 

I had time to think about everything school, life, everything really. School's okay, I mean I'm in seventh grade and I have good enough grades to not make mom worry. Even though I have good grades I'm terrible at making friends and so now I just eat lunch in the library liker the rest of the loners. My home life is great Mom work the night shift, which mean on weekends we go out to eat breakfast. During the week she cooks us dinner  and we together before she leaves for work at 6:45pm, and and after she leaves for work I have to help Auggie shower and make sure he brushes his teeth help him read books for kindergarten then at 8:30 I put him to bed then finish my homework and am in bed by 10 pm. 

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I see Hailey sit next to me. "Oh I'm sorry did I wake you" I says. "No I just could sleep came down the only place with food" she say. " So what are you doing up" she says. I don't answer at first before she says, "I know we just met but you can talk to me if you want or we could just sit and eat" she says. " I was just think out Auggie, Mom, and school stuff that's all" I say. " well if you every wanna talk or something call me " Hailey says as she hands me her card. " Okay" I say before she head back down to the room. I starting to doze off in the chair by the machine I check my phone which reads 4:30 am I get and walk back to the room where I find Auggie and Ry still asleep but Hailey is still awake. " Your still up" I say quietly trying not to wake up the boys. " Yeah couldn't sleep till you go back Okay" she say. " Well goodnight Hailey I say before I lay back down on the cot and drift into a deep sleep.

Jay POV*

 I wake up with a stiff back and a head on my shoulder. I look over to find Hailey sleeping. "Hey Hails its 7 30 time to wake up okay Ms. Ramirez should be done with her shift done soon." I say. " You talk so loud can you get up the boys and grab chocolate muffins if the cafeteria is open" Hailey said. " What about Amira?" I say. " Just let her sleep" she say before going back to sleep herself. I walk over to the bed were they slept and gently wake both of August then Ryder. I pick up Ryder and hold August hand. We walk down to the Café to grab 4 chocolate muffins, 3 apple juices, 2 coffee's, and 1 blueberry muffin. Then we walk back up to the room. We get back to the room August runs over to wake up Amira " Mira, we got breakfast, chocolate muffins" he says. I see that Hailey is a wake and set Ryder down on her lap then hand her some coffee. I hand out to the kids and Hailey the chocolate muffins and then eat mine.  

As we eat and hear the boys on the bed talk about cars and dinosaurs. Amira over in the corner on her phone watching some teen movie and Hailey telling me about the costume she got me. I just take in the sight that I might want to have this with Hailey." I wanna have kids with you" I say. " What" she says back. " I want to have kids with you someday like when were married" I say not even realizing what I just said. "You want to marry me" Hailey says while blushing. " That's all you got from what I just said but yes I would hopefully like to marry you in the future" say kind-of smiling. " aww, and to answer you other question. I always thought that if I found the right guy I would give Ry a little brother or sister, but I found my guy" she says with a smile. The she leans in and places a soft kiss on my lips with a smile.
