Part 38

Hailey's POV*

After Voight's little speech I grab mine and Ry's stuff, I walk into the break room to find Ry still awake." Look mommy I made a picture for Nessa" he says. " Bud why aren't you sleeping" I say taking his hand. " I'm not in Pajamas" he say as I open the door, " Okay bud" I say with a chuckle. Then he lets go of my hand and runs " Ryder Jace" I say loud enough for the team to turn around and look at me. " Aunt Nessa" he says.  " hey buddy" she say. " Look I made you a picture, it's me, you, mommy, doctor, and baby" he says. " Thanks bud" Vanessa say hoping no one heard what he just said. When I set him down all eyes are one her, Voight even came out of his office.

Vanessa POV*

"What does he mean by baby, Vanessa" as Kevin's says what everyone else is thinking. I look around the room to see everyone with confused faces, then I look at Hailey's and she's giving me a nod. "I'm um pregnant" I say. " congrats" I hear Kim say as she walks away with her head down. " Is that why you puked by Hailey's car" He says as I give him a nod. " Well congrats and bye see y'all tomorrow" he says before chasing  Kim down the stairs and to their cars. "Office" is the only thing Voight said before turning back to his office. I drop my stuff and walk into his office. 

When I walk in I shut the door and sit down on the chair. " How far along are you"  he asks. " 20 weeks but-" I say. "god Vanessa you were shot twice today were you even thinking" he says. "Sarge I'm so sorry I was going to tell you but I knew that if I did then it would be real and I guess I wasn't ready for my life to change" I say. " god Vanessa you were shot twice today were you even thinking" he says. You know that I have to send you to the 9-1-1 call center but until your stitches heal you can work the desk" he says. "Thank Sarge" I say as I get up and walk out his office.

 I leave his office and the bullpen is empty so I go home pack repack my bag then head over to Kevin's house. When I get to Kevin's house I ring his doorbell. He opens the door and let me in. " hey you want anything" he asks. " Yeah can I get a water" I say. He hands me a water bottle. and we sit for dinner, he made me chicken and rice. Most of the meal was silent before I say something. " I'm so sorry I didn't tell you about the baby I was scared and want to tell you in a cute way but couldn't find the perfect time" I say. " Are you happy" he says. "what". " Are you happy about the baby?" he says again. " yeah I'm happy are you?" I say as he nods his head.  How far along are you" he asks. " I'm 20 weeks and before you ask I don't know what we're having" I say. We eat dinner, then we talk some more before it's movie time. We both fall asleep before we finish the movie.
