There's a mother and daughter injured in a carjacking the father orders the hit because his wife four he's cheating on her

Hailey POV*

I wake up second like I always do. I really don't know why Jay refuse to sleep past a certain time in the morning. I get dressed for work before walking downstairs. I get downstairs and see Jay asleep on the couch. "Babe wake up. Why didn't you come back to bed" I say "Voight called me with a case last night, carjacking, I was on my way to the hospital when will call and said one of the victims died and the other was in surgery. So I turned back around, I didn't want to wake you so I slept on the couch." He say get up from the couch. "That's sweet" I say placing a kiss on his lips. "I made coffee" as we walk into the kitchen. Jay grabs two mugs out from the cabinet and I pour the coffee in them.

"This is nice". "What is?" I say looking at him. "Drinking coffee with my beautiful wife" he say kissing my head. Then we hear foot steps. "Spoke too soon" I say playfully this chest as we turn around to see who it is. "Good morning Hailey, Jay" Amira says walking downstairs with her backpack on. " You seem excited." I say. "We didn't forget something right" Jay whispers in my ear. "It's Friday and no you didn't forget anything Jay" she says. "You want something else to eat or just Eggo's" I ask. "Eggo's" she says putting them in the toaster. "Amira whys there duck tape on your backpack?" Jay asks. "It kind of broke a couple days ago" she says taking a bite of the waffles. "Why didn't you tell us we could've gotten you a new one" I say. "I don't want a new one the backpack works" she says. When we finish our coffee Jay puts our mugs in the sink and I wake I the rest of the kids.

After all the kids are dropped off at school we head to the district. We walk in and greeted by Platt. "Look at the happy couple" she says jokingly. "Hi Sarge" we say about to head upstairs. "Nope you still need to interview the victims" the other one got out of surgery." Jay says. "Yeah and her fathers there too" Platt says. We get back to the car and head to the hospital.

Once there we walk in and find Maggie. "My favorite married couple" she says. "Hey Mags we're looking for a Max Taylor" Jay says. "Yep he got here last night. Heard his wife and daughter were in a carjacking, he's on the PEDs floor" Maggie say. We reach the floor and a nurse directs us to the right room. I knock on the door and a a tall man opens it. "Are you Max Taylor?" Jay asks. "Yeah why" he says wiping the tears from his red eyes. " We're Detectives Upton and Halstead, we need to speak to you and your daughter about what happened last night" I say. "Okay" he says letting us in the room. "Sweetheart these detectives are here to ask you some questions and you need to answer all of them okay" Mr. Taylor say as his Daughter nods before going back to coloring. "Mr. Taylor can we step outside give them some space" Jay says as him and Mr. Taylor step outside.

"I'm Hailey. What's your name?" I ask. "Luciana" she says. "No way that's my daughter names, well her names Lucia but it kind of the same, right" I say as she nods. "Do you know why I'm here?" I ask. "You want to know what happened yesterday" she says. "Smart girl. Can you tell me what happened?" I ask now sitting on her bed. "Mommy said we need milk, we went to the store, they give free cookies" she says smiling a little. "Where was your dad?" I ask. "At work, he always works late" she says. "And what happened after you left the store?" I ask. "No" she says shaking her head. "It's okay, your safe now" I say. "A man stops mommy at the car, he said he wanted it, but mommy just did nothing. The man pulls something out his pants and points it at mommy's head. She fought for the thing and then there was a loud bang sound. I called 9-1-1 and the man ran away" she says wiping her eyes with her sleeve. "Do you know what the man looked like?" I ask. "He was white with a ski mask on , he look really tall like daddy." She says. "When can I go home" she asks. "When the doctors say you can". "He didn't hurt me, ran away when he saw me" she say as the door opens. "Well Bye Luciana, we'll be in touch Mr. Taylor" Jay says. "Bye Hailey and other guy" Luciana says. "The other guy" Jay says as we walk out to the elevator.
