The Secrets We Keep

Part 8

Hailey's POV*

After Jay give me the 'okay' walk towards the nearest door, to clear it. When I open the door I feel Booth grab my arm and throw me against the railing of the stairs. The he grabs my neck and pushes me against the wall before I punch him and we stay in that ugly dance for what feels like a while before I throw him on to the ground. The start punching him until he can't fight back anymore, then I grab the gun I had before and say " admit it, ... admit you ..... you killed Garett" I say in between breaths . He just laughs at me then Jay walks in and I'm still holding the gun to Booths face " Hailey, Hailey this is not how you beat this, he wins if you pull the trigger" Jay says as he has a hand on my shoulder. I finally snap out of it and I get off of Booth and tell him to get up then kick him right I the nose one more time before I step out of the stairwell. 

When I get to the parking garage  Voight tell me to go see the paramedic then I go straight home to see Ry. after I see the Paramedics I go to my apartment and then to Estella place knock on the door, " Hey Hailey you look like hell what happened?" Estella asks. I tell her that I just hit my head and ask where Ryder is, she tell my that he will be so happy to see me because he's been asking for me. I walk into her apartment and see my sweet boy asleep on the floor by his toys. Estella then grabs all his thing and hand me his bag, I pick up Ryder and head to my apartment.

 We get into the apartment I drop his bag by the door and take Ry to bed so I can shower. After my shower I hear Ryder cry so I pick him up and rock him to sleep while I watch a movie on the couch. Half way into the movie and Ryder is nocked out when I hear the door bell, I check the time it almost 11pm. I try to put Ryder down but he just stirs whenever I do so I carry him to the door and when I open it my face is in complete shock as to who is at the door.
