The Secrets We Keep

Part 6

Jay's POV*

After Kim and I come back to the district, I grab the case file and call the case officer, Jeff Rafferty. When the call ended I told Voight I had to meet up with a CI, but I was really going to met up with Hailey's old case officer. After the meeting I call Hailey to the garage to talk.

" Hey, you alright the text sounded urgent? she said Yeah everything's fine, but what happened, time stamped December 31, new years eve"? I could see the anger and betrayal in her eyes then she starts walking away so I follow her till we get to the undercover car. "Hailey, wait" I say " You called Rafferty behind my back", "because you weren't gonna tell me, so what happened"? I see her take a breath then begin to speak. " It was new years eve and there was a party Booth was going too, he was drunk, I got him alone thought I could get a name he had other things in mind" she says. "Did he" I ask "no" she says. 

Hailey's POV*

We get silent for a while before she get back in her car, then back to the UC apartment, I walk in and see Booth. "What the hell Ronny" I say " I slipped a Jackson to your landlord, told him I was your brother actually said we look alike" he says. "So you think about my offer to meet my guy?" I say trying to get a deal going. " Yeah, but lets start small and pick up a package" After Booth leaves my apartment t I call the team and tell them to meet a the post office, At the post office I see Booth's nephew we talk for a bit before I leave for Booth's office. I walk into his office and he starts opening it. "Iodine crystals" I say, "Yeah just test different paint mixtures" Booth said. "So will you meet my guy now", "Can I trust him?" he says, "yeah of course " I say. " tell him to meet me here tomorrow night at 10pm to talk business" he says " Okay, I'll call him" I says as I leave.

The Next Night at 10pm

Jay and I get to the meet spot to review how we meet. When Booth gets here we get out the car and wait for him to talk business. "hey, why don't we go inside just me and him." said Booth, "you sure cause I ca-" I say before I was cut off by Jay saying Its okay and gives my arm a tight squeeze before he walks in with Booth.
