Part 76

Hailey POV*

We get to Kev and Vanessa's house and ring the door bell.  Kev opens the door holding Valentina. "Valentina Sebbella, hi" I say taking her from Kev's hands and walking in. "where's Ry" Jay says. "He and Vanessa are walking Blu, they be back soon, y'all want anything" he asks. "No thanks man" Jay says. "so big now" I say tickling Val. "Yeah she just got by, in those health checks" he says. "Hey were back" Vanessa says. "Hi mama" Ry says standing in front of me. "baby Val" he says playing with her tiny hands. "You have fun?" I ask. "Blu licked my face and we eat beans and rice, it was yummy" he says smiling.  

"How was house hunting" Vanessa asks sitting down next to me. "It was good, the lady gave us a lot of options. When we get home will just look through them" I say bouncing Val as she laughs. "How are you" I ask. "I think we finally got Val on a good schedule and Blu stopped peeing in the house." she says. "I know those things but, what about you? Are you sleeping?" I ask. "Sleeping, that's funny, you know what its like to have a baby at night" she says snickering. "I'm about to find out again" I say under my breath. "Huh". "Nothing" I respond. "Ya know we should have a girls night with Kim" she suggests. "at Molly's this weekend" I add. 

When we get home I tell Jay what we're doing for the weekend. "Are you going to tell them about the baby" he asks. "I don't know, I don't want to yet but I will if I have to" I say looking through the house listings. "Okay last one before we call it a night" he says showing me the last house in the stack. "its got four bedrooms, three and a half baths with a open kitchen and Livingroom. It down the street from a park and in a good school zone for Ry and this one." he says pointing to the pictures. "I actually love it" I say. "actually? You don't thing I can pick out a good house". "considering that I picked out the last two, nope" I say popping the p at the end.

Kim POV*

The week went by as usual, there was a case but it was close in two days. The last day of the week we just do paperwork until it was time to go. "Who's ready for girls night!" I announces in pure excitement. "Girls night? I we were eating dinner tonight, I already started marinating the steaks" Adam says. "Oh you never said you were making dinner" I say rolling my chair over to his desk. "It was a surprise, but have fun at girls night" he says upset. "are you sure I can eat the steaks with you tonight" I say taking his hand. "No go enjoy your night out, I'll just give the other one to the neighbor's" he say. 

"Give what to the neighbors" Jay says walking back with Kev from garage. "Adam was going to grill steaks for Kim but we going to girls night tonight so she won't be able to eat the steaks" Vanessa say. "Your grilling tonight" Kev says as Adam says "Yes". "I'll eat steaks with you, man. I was just going to order in with Val anyways" Kev says. "thanks Kev, come over at 7, Jay you in too" Adam asks. "yeah but I got Ry too" he says. "So it's settled the boys take the kids to Adams and we go to Molly's" I say rolling back to my desk to finish up.
