Part 61

Christmas Eve

Adam POV*

It's close to noon, Kim has already left for the long drive to her sisters and I hear the door bell ring. I check the peep hole and see that it's Jay so I let him in. "Back again" I say opening the door. "Just came by to grab Hailey's Christmas Present, you and Kim didn't look at it right" he says. "Nope, wanted to but didn't" I say grabbing his present. "Thanks for holding on to this for me" Jay says walking out the door.

Jay POV*

I get back to the apartment. "Hey your back" Hailey say when I walk in. "Yeah" I say about to take off my shoes. "don't take off your shoes yet, were out of eggs  and those snack that Ry likes I need you to get some more and take Ry with he's been asking for you" Hailey says. "Copy you" I say walking to Ry's room to helping put on his shoes and coat on. "Bye mommy" Ry says as we leave.  We get to the store and I get a cart  and put Ry in it. "Okay bud I have some important news and I need you to say if your okay with it or not" I say push the buggy through the frozen isle. I grab the eggs then go to the snack isle. " Okay so buddy I bought Mommy a gift and I need you to let know if you okay with it" I say showing him a picture of the gift. "shiny" he says shaking his head yes. "So I can give this gift to Mommy" I say "yes" he says. "Good because I already bought it and there's no return policy" I say grabbing the animal crackers and heading towards the checkout line.

Hailey POV*

The night before Christmas, Jay and I are about to make cookies for Santa. "Hey can you hand me the eggs and flour" I say as Jay open the fridge to grab them. "Here" he says as he hand them to me. "Can I do that" Ry says watching be crack the eggs. "Come here" Jay says lifting him up onto a chair so he can help crack the egg. After that we put the cookie batter into the mixer and wait for it to mix. Once its don we take the cookie cutter and star making different shapes. We're cutting cookies when I feel something hit my nose. "Jay" I say as I take the cookie dough from off my nose. I get back at him by putting some on his face. After we finish playing around we change out of the dirt clothes and into some new ones as the cookies bake. Then we put on the movie Home Alone as we eat some of the cookies.

Vanessa POV*

After eating the Chinese food that Kev brought home we go upstairs and I watch him build the dresser while I fold the baby clothes. "Are you sure you can do this I can call-" I say as he dumps out all the pieces. "No It's Christmas Eve and it's late" he says. Then I hear the door bell rings waking Blu up from his slumber. "I'll get it" I say trying to get up from the floor. " No I got it you shouldn't be moving around a lot" he says. He walks down stairs as Blu follows and when he comes back it's Adam standing in the door way. " When did you guys get a dog" Adam says. " This is Blu and we got his yesterday" I say. "Where's Kim, I thought you guys were spending Christmas together" I add. "No she already made plans to visit her sister and Nicole doesn't like me" he says reaching down to pet Blu. " Since your here Kev needs help building this dresser". No I don't I know how to build stuff" he says. "Yeah I heard, Jay told me about the crib disaster" Adams smirking. "Fine you can help" Kevin says hand Adam the instructions.
