Jay POV*
"The fridge is stocked, we have a two packs of water bottles, the flashlights have battery's, and the generator is working. Is there anything you need me to get before the snow hits, tonight" I ask Hailey. "Jay I need some formula where almost" Hailey says from the kitchen. "Okay I'll go get some" I say getting up from the couch where we were watching a movie. "Hey Jay can I come too, I don't like this movie" Augie says. "Okay but grab hats gloves coat, and scarf. It's really cold out there" I say as he runs upstairs, to his shared room with Ry, to grab those items.
"I'm ready but can you tie my shoes" Auggie asks. I bend down to tie his shoe for him. "When we get back I'm going to teach you how to tie these on your own. "Babe were leaving you sure you don't need anything else" I ask. She turns from the couch to say, "No were good" she says turning back to the TV. "Can you get salt & vinegar chips please" Amira says not taking her eyes off the TV. "Animal crackers" Ry mumbles. "Ryder wants animal cracker, thanks Jay" Amira adds. I look at Hailey and she mouth thanks. "Love you" I shout from the door. I can hear her say it back as we walk out.
We get to the store and it's already started snowing. I take Auggie's hand as we walk through the baby isle looking for formula. I grab the last of the formula and walk to the snack isle grabbing what they asked for and checking out. "Look there's no more water" Auggie say pointing the the empty shelves. " it means we just have to get home quicker" I say paying for the items. I walk over to the side with Auggie, zipping up his coat and putting his hat and gloves back on before walking out in to the cold. We get to the car and I blast the heat. "so much better" he says as
