Slade was done with this mess, and he hasn't been awake for too long. Apparently one of his students (a good friend of Ryan's, surprise surprise) was the leader of some alternate Earth.
Slade just wanted to get home and possible sleep until summer, but no, he is stuck in another world with the chaotic child that almost seems at home already. Slade was slightly unnerved at how quickly Ryan got used to everything, but then again, this wasn't his first time going through a freaking portal. (Wasn't Slade's first either but that wasn't the point. (he hated that mirror.))
"Ya," Gizzy nodded. "So that's how I ended up here."
They moved from the town hall looking building to another room, a kitchen dining room mix. Ryan and Gizzy sat across from each other, chatting away about how they each ended up here, while a few others listened in with interest. Divine, Gale, Pluto, Alpha (the king, half king?); The names were tossed out there, a quick introduction before Ryan launched into explaining what happened.
Slade, had he been in a normal situation, probably would have been slightly annoyed. He should be the one to explain what happened. He was technically the teacher and the older one between the two. He should be the one to make sure Ryan and him got home in one piece.
Except his head hurts from his brief time being unconscious while his body was just drained while Ryan seemed completely fine. Slade remembered feeling like he was after he went into the mirror, but he pushed it aside to make room for the want to get Tori back and to stop Ryan from burning the place down.
So, against better judgement, he let Ryan lead the story, waving his tea bottle as he explained. Slade gave up trying to figure out where he keeps the bottles and how he always seems to have some on him.
"Great." Ryan nodded. "So it seems both of us had fun last year."
Fun was not how Slade would describe it. Panicked, concerned, worried, terrifying seemed like better words.
Slade could see the confusion on the mostly everyone's face, but it seemed like Gizzy knew what Ryan was meaning considering he gave a dry snort.
"Seems like it." Gizzy nodded. "But hey! We lived!"
"Sadly enough."
Slade was happy that his face wasn't the only one to show concern. "Anyways," Gale (?) spoke up. "How are you two feeling? Dimensional travel, from what I can tell, doesn't seem to be the kindest on people."
"I'm great!" Ryan chirped out. (Slade was pretty sure if he glanced underneath the table he would be swinging his legs.)
"Tired." Was his clipped reply.
Everyone seemed understanding of his reply, but absolutely baffled by Ryan's. Slade just gave up half the time trying to understand how Ryan works.
"You're...fine?" Divine, for the first time since he introduced himself, asked. Slade caught the confused look sent to Gizzy, then back at Ryan.
Wonder if how I feel is how Gizzy first did. Slade wondered to himself.
"M'hm! I was a little tired at the beginning," He admitted. "But that passed a while ago. The adrenaline from the fight wore off any lingering pain from the fall too."
"Addressing that," The second king, Alpha (the whole thing was just confusing, Slade would admit), droned out. "Who thought it was the best idea to throw an unarmed child into a fight?"
"I do have a knife." Ryan, much like with the tea bottles, produced a simple dagger from what looked to be thin air, holding it casually.
"Who gave you a dagger?!" Slade's mild headache slowly felt like it was going to become a migraine with how things are going.
"That would be me." Pluto replied. "He looked to be of age to fight and we were low on men. How was I supposed to know that he came from some other dimension?"
Alpha just leveled him with a stare. "We will be having a discussion later." Pluto, for all he was worth, nodded and didn't speak up again.
Slade gave a sigh. "You're not handing that over to me are you?"
With a smile, the knife seemingly vanished. "Handing what over?" Ryan asked, an all but innocent smile on him.
"Continuing on," Alpha gave a look at the two new world's members. "You both have those Rune things correct?"
Both Ryan and Slade nodded.
Everyone (minus Gizzy) gave a curious look towards them. "I have the Psychic Runes."
"Psychic and Fire Runes." Ryan, Slade noted, seemed to slightly tense up.
"You-" Divine blinked. "Fire?" He gave a look towards Gizzy, then back to Ryan. "Fire?"
Slade gave a leveled glare. There was no need for that reaction.
"You act so different from the last fire user we met." Gale offered up. "Would've thought air or something of that with how you act."
Slade could only blink in surprise. That was why they were confused, because of how Ryan was acting with Fire Runes. Ryan seemed to share the confusion. "What?"
They didn't get to respond, a knock on the door echoed through the room.
---
Still alive, sadly enough.
