Thursday, September 10th would have been a normal day for most. Ryan however, was not considered in the category of 'most'. The day started normal. Wake up, do his morning routine, head to class; The normal day.
The only thing that wasn't normal was how he was acting, and he knew it too. To be fair though, he felt that he was taking the whole 'two Runes' situation fairly well. Ryan tried acting normal, but this was one negative emotion he was having trouble burying.
Ryan knew his friends knew something was up too, although they were acting slightly off too. That was something Anti was having a field day with; Plaguing Ryan with taunts and jabs all day and night. Ryan wanted to ask them what was wrong, but like he said, he's not the best with emotions and all that.
Tori has been asking if he was all right nonstop, and Ryan was frankly confused. No, he probably wasn't, but why was Tori all of the sudden going crazy asking if he was okay? Then there was Lexi and Matt. It seemed like a wall was built between them and him overnight. They joked less, and got in more awkward silences. Tina and Goldy were acting the same, but he could tell that they were forcing it. He wasn't blind. Ryan kept seeing their concerned glances at him. Unicorn and him...that was one relationship that was sinking fast.
Ryan felt bad too, which made him aggravated to no end. Luke didn't know what he did wrong. Ryan did though, and was just blocking Luke off and overall acting cold towards him. Unicorn wasn't the only one that he was treating that way. Slade and Petra were included in that group too.
They knew he had these Runes in him, yet they just let it go. Build up was dangerous, and possibly fatal for people with high amounts of mana and Runes (like him), yet they haven't even told him. They haven't even tried to drop hints to Ryan that he had the Psychic Runes in him.
Ryan laid on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling as thoughts flew through him. The Psychic Runes. Once Ryan tells them he knows, Ryan knows he's going to be training with Slade. After all, why make him train with someone else when Slade helped him with his Fire Runes.
Ryan wondered what it would be like to use the Psychic Runes. Would it feel weird since he's used to the Fire Runes, or would it feel natural like the Fire Runes did. Not including nearly killing everyone when he burnt down the stadium, he doesn't even remember that.
Would it feel weird to teleport? Slade seems to have something against it, but never really explained why. Did it have something to do with how it feels or did Slade just seem to like the mind section more than the teleporting?
Ryan stared up at the ceiling, letting his thoughts go wild. It was night time, and Ryan was really considering going up to the roof. At least then he could release some of the thoughts he has to Aaron.
Aaron didn't seem to mind when Ryan would just lay out his thoughts, and Aaron did it with him too. It was like they were each other's common sense filters. Tell the other that they're acting stupid, and ways to help fix the mess that's going on inside.
May I should hea-
An absolute gut wrenching pit formed in his stomach when a flash of purple flared in his room. Ryan sat up the quickest he's ever had and his head swinging side to side. No one was in his room, which means the light had to come from him.
Ryan's eyes flicked down to his hands, and he stared in horror at the Physic symbol that rested on his hands. Ryan's stomach twisted, and he suddenly had trouble breathing. This can't be happening! No no no no nononononono!
He found himself standing up and pacing around. Mr. Oinkers oinks were drowned out by the sound of Ryan's thoughts and panicked breaths. Oh god oh god oh god no! I can't have this happen! What if I lose control like the first time with the Fire Runes! I'm all alone and no one would know what was happening and this isn't good!!!
