Tori blinked slowly as Petra's words registered into her brain. Ryan, the dorky, happy person she managed to get as a boyfriend (She was still unsure of how she managed to do that), has an IQ that high. She knew he was smart, just not that smart. Maybe it seemed downplayed with how short his attention span was?
She wasn't being mean, it was just the truth. If it didn't catch his attention, he was off in his own mind...or out of the classroom. She wasn't sure how he could be in the class one minute, then out of it the next with no one catching him leaving. So far, the only one to stop him before he even got up was Alfred and Slade. They didn't even need to say anything, he just shifted in his seat (though he does that a lot), and they would send a pointed glare his way. Well, Slade's wasn't that pointed, it was more of 'Ryan, don't even try it'.
Any other class though, he could be next to her one minute, and gone the next. Tina did tell her that all daycare kids were loud on purpose, so that others would hear them, and she sees what Tina meant. Besides Goldy, the other three are nearly silent on their feet when they want to be.
"Oh." Ryan's simple statement knocked her out of her thoughts.
"Oh?" Petra parroted back. "Just 'oh'?"
"Just, wow." Ryan exhaled a quick breath. "I didn't think it would've been that high."
"I think we all can agree with that Ryan." Tori nodded. "I think we all can agree."

It was the next day as Tori fiddled with her pencil, twirling it silently through the air. Almost right after we finished the conversation about how oddly high Ryan's IQ was (like, come on!), Luke nearly busted the door down shoving a blueprint into Ryan's hands with words crammed together saying to check it.
She would have to be blind to not see why Unicorn was all excited. If they could build that machine the portal would be stabilized and they could send the others back. After Unicorn fixes the mistakes, that is. In his excitement, Luke somewhat forgot that the gas line to run the machine kinda needs to be connected to the cylinder; The part that actually helps run the whole machine. Well, that's what Ryan spouted off anyways while both her and Petra stared at him.
Tori sighed softly, shaking her head, before looking sideways at Ryan, who was (Obviously) sitting next to her. He was looking straight forward, and was completely still. With two quick hand motions in front of his face and not getting a reaction, she nudged his arm.
Wonder what he was thinking about, he seemed really concentrated, but class is about to start. She thought to herself. Maybe his mind is even more chaotic than what he shows.
Ryan blinked suddenly, before sending her a small smile. The flower crown was tilted, and Tori fought an urge to try and swipe it back. On one hand, she wanted it back, but on the other, Ryan looked adorable with it on (even if he swears to hell and back that he's not).
In a poof (and accompanied by that sulfuric smell), Alfred appeared. "Get out a new sheet for notes, as we're starting a new lesson today."
He walked back and forth in front of the classroom, waiting as everyone shuffled around their stuff and got out the materials they needed. Tori and Ryan already had a sheet out, due to Tori stating that they will probably need it. Tori smirked and shot Ryan a look that stated 'I told you so.' He ignored her, but huffed quietly to himself, before sticking his tongue out at her.
Tori smirked, and made an half-attempted for her flower crown that rested on his head.
Ryan at first got a few odd looks for it, but Tori guessed it didn't take long for people to realize that she was missing hers, and how she kept making grabs for it. After all, it was her crown, and she will have one by the end of the week...which was in one day, since today was Friday.
