Ryan snuffled the flame in his hand and caught Gizzy before Petra could even react. The weight of him nearly brought him down too, but he managed to stay up.

Setting him down gently, Ryan made another flame, giving off light once again. Petra walked over to a computer, and tapped a few keys. It turned on, shining artificial light into the area. "Well, it was the lights, and not the electricity."

Clearly. I swear, all your teachers are idiots.

Shut. It.

No.

"Let's set him on an infirmary bed, then I'll run and get Amelia to stop and check on him." Petra told him.

Ryan shrugged. "Aright."

He bent down and looped his arms under Gizzy's neck and legs. "I can-" Petra cut himself off as Ryan stood up, a little off balance due to the extra weight.

Wow, you didn't fall.

"I got it. Though can you open up the door, my hands are kinda full."

Petra nodded slowly, looking unsure. A ding ran through the room. The computer had a small icon on it. "Ah, I'll look at that later. I suppose you know the way to the infirmary?"

Ryan gave him a deadpan look. "No, I just forget every time I'm in there. It's not like I've been in there a ton of times."

---

Petra looked down at the computer. After they dropped Gizzy off at the infirmary with Amilia, he went back to the computer. Ryan went off to eat lunch, nearly running out of there in excitement. Clicking on the notification, it brought up a message.

Dear Petra,

It is I, Dude, from Terra Academy. I would like to happily inform you that recently we hired a Head Scientist. He's a little young, but shows potential.

However, something has cropped up over here, and he is asking for help. Suggesting that you could help him with said problem, he soon agreed to asking for your help.

He requests a video call, so he can give you the basics beforehand. We know you are busy, due to the time of school year that it is, but the problem has seemed to get out of hand over here.

Due to the destructive nature the problem can have, we ask you to reply shortly. Thank you for your time.

                                                                                                                            Sincerely,

                                                                                                                                      Dean of Terra Academy

Oh dear.

I quickly typed out a reply. It was great that they found someone to be the Head Scientist, but the problem was that of concern. It was a short reply, it stating that I'll help and that any person should be able to pursue experiments and study the world. They shouldn't be held back only because of their age.

Almost instantly, a reply came back, stating that if he had free time right now, and the scientist wasn't busy, they could do the video call.

I looked at the clock. I had an one-hour break for lunch, and Ryan or anyone else should be busy. One hour should be enough time. I agreed that, yes, I did have time, but only for an hour.
