Unicorn's POV
I didn't catch Ryan before he headed to his dorm room. I forgot how sneaky the guy was, and that was before the fire.
I shook my head in disbelief. The one person I know who was scared of fire, got the Fire Runes. What are the chances of that? I'm pretty sure I hide my shock well from the others. It's just surprising.
The good news is that Ryan didn't seem as terrified of fire anymore. Hell, I remember when I found out he nearly died of hypothermia when we were around nine years old. He would rather die by the cold then start a fire to keep him warm.
Now, he seems fine talking about the topic of fire in general.
"What's on your mind mate?" A voice spoke up next to me. Ryan, well, the second one. Damn this, this is confusing.
"Nothing much." I replied.
He walked next to me at a slow pace. Petra, Sabre, and the other two were ahead, but I fell back. I needed time to think, and apparently Ry decided to check up on me.
"Are you having a laugh? You were zoned out big time mate. Asked that three times until ya answered."
Another thing that screwed me up is the British accent. I'm used to hearing an American accent come out of Ryan, not a British one.
"Just stuff." I assured him.
"Don't blame ya." Ry gave a sigh, and twirled his stick- no, wand- around with his fingers. "It's a bit."
Now that I know that he can do magic (And had vials of poison on him), he seemed a whole lot more dangerous than I first thought. Who knows what he could do.
I gave a slow nod. "Weird."
"Yep." He shook his head. "No off-" He gave an alarmed sound, and hit the ground with a thud. Before I could even ask if he was okay, he was up and dusting off his clothes, muttering something about the school's clothing choices.
"That didn't happen." He said, and continued on walking.
I merely shook my head, and continued on. "So why are you wearing those?"
"School's uniform. Bloody hell annoying when they're just a little long on you."
I pursued my lips. I had to deal with a few school uniforms myself, and I know how annoying they could be. I remember the teachers getting really mad at me for wearing my mask, but they got over it, and I never took it off. The rest of the walk was silent.

The spare rooms looked kinda like guest rooms, which they were apparently, according to Petra. Something about the past Olympics and all that.
I'll ask later.
Galaxy, Sabre, and Rainbow went into one room, while it was going to be Goldy, Ryan, and I in another. I'm scared for the two to meet. Ryan, who likes to do and create dangerous stuff, and Goldy, who has zero self-preservation. It seems like a bad combo to me.
The beds lined the opposite wall when we walked in, with an end table next to each on. Three dressers lined the wall to the right, one for each bed.
After a bit of settling in (I had to run and grab the bags Goldy and I brought), it was still just Ryan and I in the room. Goldy was absent.
Ryan was sitting in the middle bed, messing with something he pulled out of his pockets. I sat on my chosen bed (The one to the left) watching in mild interest. It is a good time to see how many similarities and differences Ry has to Ryan. Would help pinpoint his dimension quicker. Once we stabilize the portal though...
