I'm in love with one of our construction workers, call me mean pero I turned him down kasi nahihiya ako to introduce him to my family????? Okay, I'll start this by saying na I don't fkn read Wattpad and all that corny sh*t kaya wag kayong assumera.

Just a quick background story, my family owns a real estate company. We buy and sell land, we flip houses, we also build townhouses and condominiums. My Dad manages everything talaga, he's very hands-on sa lahat ng projects kahit na we have people to do that. When the pandemic started, my Dad decided to assign me and my older brother to check the sites. The whole family have discussed kasi na it's too risky to let our Dad go out and check the sites kasi he's a senior na.

One of the projects assigned to me is yung 20 unit apartment na we're building in Davao. Twice a month, I catch a plane to Davao to check the site. That's where I met on of our construction worker. His name is Kevin. Not even exaggerating, he is very attractive. He's tall, gwapo and maputi (idk how kasi most of our workers are dark kasi they work directly under the sun lol). He didn't finish high school because he had to help his family, he has this thick probinsyano accent din. I don't mind pero kasi I know that if I introduce him kahit sa friends ko they'll for sure make fun. It's not that I don't want to make pahiya of myself but it's just that I don't want him to get bullied.

Lagi siya nag-approach sakin and I guess that's how we became close. He added me here sa FB and we've been talking. Okay... to make this short, he made ligaw pero I turned him down kahit na I like him kasi I know my parents wouldn't approve. Super sama ko bang person for doing that? I didn't tell him the real reason why I turned him down, I just told him na relationship is not in my plan right now. My friends told me to not feel bad for setting standards for myself pero idk if it's standards or ego.

What are your thoughts? I'm open to criticism lol.
