My best friend invited me over to study at their place. He's from a Chi-Fil family and, and his mom is only half Chinese. His parents were very kind and accomodating and I had a fun chat with his mom (she thinks her son is courting me). Apparently, they have relatives from China who just moved to manage a new casino business. They are very racist. They gave me mean looks at first. My friend told me that he'll leave me alone for a bit to join their "family dinner". I didn't mind since I'm not family, and my visit was on short notice (table was  probably full due to the new relatives). My friend and I also ordered via Food Panda, we originally planned on eating while working but his family insisted he joins them. So while I was waiting for my food panda to arrive. One of his mainlander relatives (uncle I think), goes into the room with a bowl and makes the gesture it's for me. I stood, smiled and approached him. He puts the bowl on the floor and I stared at it. It was mostly bones and other left overs. He said something in Chinese and in shock I said "what's that po". He makes an eating gesture (moves his arms in an eating motion towards his mouth), and he said "dogfood". Tangina talaga, gusto ko sumigaw. I walked out of the room and went to the bathroom. I called my friend who told his mom. I told them that I was going home. My friend and his mom apologized. It didn't feel right to accept an apology from them since they weren't the one who did it. His mom offered 500 for pamasahe which I refused. My friend has been offering to take me out to dinner, and I told hom let's finish the project first. He says I'm overreacting with how I'm avoiding him, and tells me he doesn't like his mainland relatives din but they just tolerate their behavior. Haha tangina talaga
