Yesterday I went to a psychiatrist in UST. But on the way, two guards already questioned my condition. One asked "Bakit dito pa? Andaming Psych sa La Salle." and the other one told my friends "Kulang lang yan sa kausap."

Sadly, they told me that they can only accommodate me 2-3 months from now due to the number of their clients. But they directed me to their Psychiatry department in their hospital so I'm going there now. But before that, I just want to share how toxic some of the professors are in DLSU also.

One friend of mine used my condition as an excuse for our late submission and the professor didn't know that it was me who had that condition and he, unintentionally, said "Alam mo nung panahon namin, wala lang yan, nagiinarte lang yan."

And another professor outwardly called out our clinically diagnosed classmate's depression as "That's nothing, that's just a social problem. Di naman malala yan." in front of everyone. And as much as we wanted to call her out, we couldn't.

Also, remember that student who committed suicide in Andrew? In one of my law classes, most of that student's blockmates were my classmate. They couldn't answer the professors questions and so he got mad and said "Akala niyo dahil nagpakamatay kayo, titigil ang mundo sa inyo? Hindi, tuloy pa rin ang buhay ko."

Lastly, a friend of mine couldn't attend our classes since she's having an anxiety attack and was suicidal at the moment. So we had to tell our prof and she told us "Di papasok dahil sa anxiety attack or di lang ready?"

It just really saddens me how some of the professors see mental health this way. I wonder what they would feel if they found out that a student committed suicide because of them. Also, I hope that we can provide better counselling services in DLSU.
